Remembrance Day

Today is Remembrance Day. The day we remember all the brave people who fought and are fighting for our freedoms. Ceremomies are held across the country.

This is at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa,Canada.
After the ceremony, people who attended place their lapel poppies on the Tomb. This is the War Memorial in Point Pleasant Park, Halifax Nova Scotia

Very nice tribute and great post. Just to let you know that we kitties are now banned from entering the university museum due to the havoc we caused at our picnic.

Hello Mickey et al!
Thanks for a great Remembrance Day blog and for visiting us.
Mum and Grandma LOVE Nova Scotia and hope to visit again in May. They saw the cenotaph and thought it was beautiful in a sad sort of way.
We hope the remnants of Noel didn't hit N.S. too hard.
Take care and we're sending belly rubs your way.
