My Wet Shiney World

Well,the super cold is gone!
Sunday we had blowing snow, then it rained!!!
Monday,it was still raining.
You can see the rain on the window.
You can see Georgia too.

This is the road we live on. It is a private road .
There are only 4 houses on this road.
When it rained,it washed away the new snow.
leaving the old hard snow behind.

The rain 'polished' the snow and made it wet and icy!!
This is what people had to contend with today.
Needless to say there were lots of accidents!!!

You can see the water on the road.
Tonight it will be cold and this will freeze.
I think Mom will need spikes in her boots!!!
You can see the reflection of the trees!!

The rain killed my snowbean!

One year ago today , our friend Caesar went to the Bridge.
He was 16 3/4 years old.
He was a pawsome Mancat with a zest for life!!!
He also had a zest for cottage cheese.
That is how we remember him.
Drop by and give his family some hugs.

We miss you buddy!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your cottage cheese loving friend.
I think our weather is going to be crazy too- I was walking on an inch of soft snow that hard a slab of solid slippy ice under it--very tricky cuz it looks safe--thank goodness they scrape the roads here and dump sand as they go by. I walk in the roadway except around curves...

It was 40C here today in Melbourne. Just a bit warmer than where you are! Tell your mum to be careful on that ice.

Your snowbean looks a bit like a bust with a headscarf on, to us!

That ice looks scary. And to think mum get's nervous driving when the road is just wet!

Looks like our road too. The PM went out to get some bread but only made it about 500 ft before realizing she was driving on a skating rink covered with water. She slowly backed up to our driveway and made bread instead!

That road looks scary! It is snowing here on the NC coast and it never snows here.

Tell your mom to be very careful driving on that road!

That is a really nice tribute to Caesar - sending purrs for his family.

Good grief! your weather is insane! I think little ice skates on paws might be in order.

Caesar was a feline star.

That looks very bad and icy! We haven't gotten any rain, just light snow during the days and every night a light dusting. The township has been very good about coming out and salting our road, surprisingly. I know if we had major/more snow, our road would be icy like that because we're one of the last roads they hit.

We are sorry for the loss of your friend. That ia always hard.
Mom can't believe the rain you got. And then to freeze? Oh joy! We have not had rain here. And it was a little warmer today. In the 20's. Woo Hoo.
