What Mom Saw

Last Tuesday, this was the view of our driveway.

This is our driveway on Wednesday when Mom came home from work.
You can see where she walked in the snow!

This is what the driveway looked like yesterday.
The temperatures have been above freezing,
so the snow is melting. Mom says we might get rain this week.
That will be very messy!!! Good thing we are indoor cats!

This is downtown Halifax last Wednesday morning.
Mom took it when she got off the ferry.

Mom liked the icicles on this lamp.

This is a pile of snow on one of the deck posts.

The best part of what we saw yesterday...robins!!!!!
There were lots in our yard!!!
As it was suppertime, and Mom's camera is old,
the pictures are not too clear. She had to shoot through the window.

The robins were flipping the leaves like crazy,
probably looking for grubs.
With all the robins we saw, Spring can't be far away!!!!!

We just saw a robin among the birds feeding on our deck! Our human staff saw a bunch of robins in a field while coming home from work today. What do they know that we don't?

You saw robins! We haven't seen any yet, but maybe soon.

Our human's mom lives in Halifax too, and she heard all about the snow. We have some today and more this week, but it's a mix of snow and rain, so we're all hoping it doesn't hang around long.

Hurray for seeing some robins! We hope that means you get some good Spring weather soon. The pictures are great, but that snow looks cold!

Those were great pictures!
Does your Mom have to take a ferry everyday to work?
We are having spring like weather right now -- it's in the 70's. But we have a cold front due in tomorrow and it's dropping daytime temps into the 40's. I don't ever remember a winter quite like this one in Florida.
Brrrr.........but we still have it pretty great here. Just weird this year...

Looks like spring is on it's way :-) Lovely photos.

We like robins too and they sometimes visit us in our garden at the summer house.

You have robins already up in Nova Scotia?! We won't see any here in Whisk-onsin for about 4 more weeks.

Dennis is watching an icy rain today. Dennis loves the pics of the harbour.

Dennis thinks the icicles on the lamp are swell.

That's quite a back-and-forth weather wise: less snow, more snow, less snow, etc.

The pictures from Halifax are great, so peaceful and serene, with the blanket of snow against the geometric buildings.

Wow! And we thought we had a lot of snow!!!

Wow that was a lot of snow! But it is good that it is melting - and the rain will help that too! Then you know what that means - spring and nice weather!!

Oooooh how pretty it is there! Snow seems so much easier to take when we know dat da Robins are back. We are getting yucky snow and rain now here in Connecticat.

Snow can be very pretty, but it sure can be a pain, too. We don't get much here, and The Mommy is happy for that! MOL At least your birdies are starting to come out to play!

Purrs and hugs,

Mud season. I think we will all enjoy a bit of that this year.
Lovely pictures of your yard. It is nice to look outside but live inside. I do not want to go out ever!

I am so happy you got some robins
say hello for me too.

Oh we love the icicles on the lantern too!! Very cold up your way it seems still. You are right the robins are harbingers of Spring so it must not be too far off now. I am sure after a long hard day at work your mommy just wants to chill out and snuggle with you kitties.....we understand that. Our problem is that we are plain lazy right now...boring and uninteresting. Hopefully with spring that will change too:) so will will have more energy to visit our dearest furrrrends b4 they think we forgot them completely....
Stay warm and keep sleeping in sunshine...all our love in the cozy cottage XOXOXOX
