Friday with Tiger

Hi, Tiger here. I am the senior kitty here being 15 years old.
Last month, Mom dragged me to see the Vet!

At the Vet place I was weighed and it appeared that I gained
some weight. As I have arthritis, that is not a good thing.
I also have asthma, that is being treated with medication.
The asthma makes me cough.

For the most part, the Vet was happy with my health.
She even suggested a new food  to help with my sore joints.
See, even Mom looks happy with my report.
Mom's sister came with us and took the pictures.

This is my new food, Medi-Cal- Mobility Support.
It is formulated to help with joint pain and contains things like
Glucosamine. So far so good, but my poor joints are pretty bad.
Pretty soon I will need something stronger. I bet Mom will have to
take me back to the Vet...darn.
I mean, she is nice , but she is still a Vet!

All in all, I was just glad to have the visit over with so I  could
get back to my favourite activity...sleeping!!!

Have a fun weekend !!!

I hope the food helps you enough, Tiger, so that you do not have to go back to the vet anytime soon!

We're glad your v-e-t visit is over and done with too! There are supplements for kitty joints, can't think of the brand name of glucosamine that's sold by vets. We still have some at home, probably expired by now. Derry was getting it for awhile, as there is some indication it can help with bladder inflammation too. (Didn't seem to work for that in his case, though.)

Our human has bought a couple of homeopathic products from PetAlive.com and has found them to be excellent, there might be something there for joints as well. It's just the shipping to Canada that's the killer, so if you want to try something like that, it's best to have someone in the U.S. reroute the product to you as a gift.

Oh, PetValu carries PetNaturals products now (chew "treats") and we *think* there's a joint one, if your human wants to give those a try.

We're glad your vet visit was relatively painless, Tiger, and that the new food is OK. And it's god to know there is stronger stuff out there for when you wil come to need it.

Tiger, we are the same age! I have achy hips but I'm not overweight...in fact, I'm a picky eater. Mommy has a kitty heating pad for me and I love it!

Those are really nice photos. I especially like the one where you are standing on the scale. You look like such a nice and patient kitty.
