It's Fall...Isn't It?

The calendar says it is late October. Yesterday, the temperature was 25C ( 77 F in the US )
That is simply strange. Mom says that we broke a temperature record. All I know ,is that it was very, very warm on the porch and we loved it. Mmmmmmm ,hot, hot, hot!

Today I thought I would show you the stages of the seasons. I will do this with the Sunflower planted, probably, by Earl the Squirrel.

Late Spring, you can see the bud.
In it's Summer glory!
Late Fall.
After the Bluejays had a feast.

You remember my catnip plant.Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Summertime. My Catnip plant among the ferns.

Yesterday.
Um, Mom? I think it's time to bring my plant indoors.
All the ferns are dead!

  5. You have a really great catnip plant. I have one too, but mine is potted. We liked your sunflower pix too. We used to have those and Mom saved the seed to feed the birds during the winter.

  7. I enjoyed watching your sunflower grow. I hope Earl the Squirrel got some seeds, too, after his work planting the sunflower. I think it is definitely time to bring your nip plant inside.

  8. It is getting chilly and autumnal here in London. The nights are cold and the heating is switched on, just in the evenings. We have some sunflowers, the flowers are still yellow on ours but just starting to die.

  15. Oh yes, your mom must bring in the nip plant. It would be a shame that it turned brown like the ferns.

  18. I really liked seeing the change of seasons through the pretty sunflower. The seasons do not really change where I live, it stays warm almost all year around. Today it is in the mid 80's!

  19. Our catnip makes flowers an spreads more seeds so it grows wild in a new place efurry year! Our squirrels destroy sunflowers instead of plantin them. Mom gets annoyed cuz we nefur get a good sunflower cuz of thems.

I hope no one gets mad bout that broken record. Maybe you can glue it?
