Ducks on Sunday

I like to sit on the porch and look outside.
I often see Earl the Squirrel and lots of birds.
If I look further, I can see the ducks on the lake across the street.
They are sitting on the ice next to open water where the river empties into the lake.
The river runs under the bridge.

This picture was taken on Wednesday morning.

The sun was trying to shine and is was very foggy.

Most unusual for this time of year.

It has been a week since Caesar went to the Bridge.

I show this picture as this is how we remember him.

A happy boy with a love of cottage cheese!

  2. Wow, what a great view of ducks. At the Improv, someone choose the name Caesar for a skit and we all thought of our Caesar and his family.

  5. Dearest moonshine! Such a lovely view you have from your home. Something to watch and admireeachday. Mommy went and got a icky cold last night and her nose is running away from her...she is crabby...er than ususal. I think I will put her to bed and feed her oatmeal for breakfast, then we will nap the day away. Mommy did say better she be sick than me so there is a blessing to be found even in this.

It is hard to imagine that our LoverBoy has been gone for a whole week. We keep waiting for him to trot down the stairs and say hello to all of us. Thank you for this one week tribute.

  11. That is a great view out your window. It is snowing here. Will it be snowing up by you later today? It is sad Caesar went to the bridge, but at least you have happy memories of him.

  12. I think you have the coolest house and outdoors to observe! I like the old things. It looks like you might live in a very old house, just like I do! The Food Lady grew up back east (near where the Meezers are in Rochester) and your blog and goldenshade's blog - and the Meezer tails - remind her of being a little girl in the winter. I hate it when it gets cold so San Francisco is just fine with me!

We are still very sad about Caesar too. Thank you for the cute pics of him.

  15. It must be funs to watch the duckies on the pond. Mommy Bean remembers fondly when she visited England a huge area filled with ducks, swans and geese. She walked out in the midddle of them all and they were'nt even scairt of her, and they didn'ts hurt her's either. Ducks are cute to her.
