Your closeups are all wonderful, as usual. I may be weird, but I like spiders, even big ones. I think I would look around carefully before I sat down, though.
Your mom is a lot like my mom... she hates spiders... and snakes. Shepherd Smith on Fox News showed a picture of a huge snake eating an alligator... in Florida. It was disgusting. I think your mom should stay inside and make sure she gets some water proof bug repellent to keep them out of your house.
