Mancat Monday- Thank You

from sodahead.com

Mom Nancy here:
I just wanted to say a BIG Thank You to all you
wonderful friends who have left so many kind
thoughtful and comforting messages while
Mickey was ill and when he went to the
Rainbow Bridge.
My head knows that it was time for him to go,
but my heart is sad.
He has been with me for 17 3/4years .
We have been through good & bad times.
My best pal and companion.
I am happy that he is not sick anymore
and is eating all the grass he can at the
Rainbow Bridge :)
It will take some time to get used to him
not being around and not seeing that
sweet face when I come home from work.
I am glad for the other kitties. They will help
me deal with this loss. They are good kitties.
We will try to return your visits, especially
those we have not met before.
Once again, this shows the tremendous support
and friendship in the Cat Blogosphere!!!!
Again, THANK YOU !!

  2. We are always astounded at the outpouring of kindness from the CB. It seems like just yesterday when we started finding other cats but really, it's been six years for us now. I can't believe how long it's been for some of our friends and we hate it when we loss any of them.

  8. We so sorry we weren't able to leave a comment sooner but as you know we're in the middle of a crisis ourselves with our boy. We think he's turned a corner but it's too soon to tell. Thank you for all your love through the years and we'll continue to spread it around, in Mickey's memory.

  18. Most of us here have now suffered the shock of losing that special beloved kitty.
There was a very special bond with you and Mickey. He adored you -- and yes, I think that deep sorrow is felt from them as well, when they know it is so hard for them to do anything, and most of all to be your love tiger.

I think losing Mickey is probably a lot like when I lost Caesar.
There was so much fun, and so many good times together - and you are right, the bad times too. - Caesar and Princess were like little nurses. They were that litle bit of hope that we could cling to when our worlds were falling apart. So many times and all they wanted to do was be close and love us.

Mickey will always be with you. Caesar is still here with me, I feel him - and he sent me Pierro

Oh Nancy, you are loved. I am hugging you from afar.
Go slowly, and take good care of yourself.

    love and bonks

  20. It is so hard to let your beloved go but you gave the ultimate gift of all and knew when he had enough and let him go. Your heart will be so sad and it will take time to heal. Remember all the lovely memories and know that your beloved Mickey is now pain free and playing at the bridge.. Hugs GJ xx

  30. It seems when a cat blogger losses a furry child, we all lose that child. The CB is a wonderful place and everyone is genuine with their feelings when it comes to our furry ones. We'll always be there for one another.

  36. Precious Mickey went straight to me heart. I wept when I learned of his illness and oh, I cried when he went to the Bridge. Sometimes other babies just crowd right on into my heart along with my own girl :-) Mickey did.

  37. We're still purring for your family. Even in the natural course, it is difficult to adjust to life without those you love. Even when you know it will be but a blink in time before you are reunited.

We weren't blessed to know Mickey but, as many strangers did at our time of grief, we came through the cat blogosphere to join you in celebrating his life and your love.

Our little intertube community has been a source of joy and strength for us. May it be the same for you. Pax.

  38. Dennis says of all the other blog's cats out there, Mickey was her favorite cat. 100% favorite. Mickey was special because he was beautiful and we feel sad that Mickey has gone away. But Mickey had a wonderful life. Dennis says it is easy to be a cat when you have a lovely wonderful kind human to love you.

  39. Mickey is with my recent loss, and they were very alike, those boys. Sweet and gentle cats, very much their own person. Mickey knew what he loved, and what he loved most was YOU. he's still around, he's not completely gone.
