Georgia Says that Snow is Cold,But Interesting

Georgia: Hmmmmmmmmmmm!
Whose feet are those?

Yup, they're mine.
As I am the only Tortie, that was not a hard question.

WE had quire a weekend.
Friday night, mum came home and it was snowing!
Big,fat flakes that were light and fluffy.
Mum calls that broom snow since she can moveit with a broom.
Then Saturday night, we had a bigger snowstorm!
It was windy and snowing and gave us a big bunch of snow.

Mum shovelled  path to the birdfeeders and filled them
and sprinkled some on the ground.
The ducks and pigeons liked them.

They do not seem to mind the cold.

The snow is also pretty.
Here is a mound of snow on a tree stump with
sunshine behind it.

Here are some squirrel footprints.

When there is a lot of snow, squirrels get around
by making tunnels.
This one comes out by the birdfeeders.
They know where the seeds are.

While mum was outside with the shovel,
Julie decided to have a nap.
When she woke up, the sun was out and mum was in.

Can you guess where she went?

  1. Maybe the birds and critters don't mind the snow much... but I'm glad I'm not them!

How nice of Mom to make sure the birds had some food.

We bet Julie went on the sun porch. :)

  4. That's a lot of snow! We'd much rather watch the birdies in it than to be in it ourselves.

  10. Georgia, humans just love to mess with a kitty's nap for photo ops! How insensitive! The photos of the snow are nice, and glad the birds and squirrels are getting some food.

  13. Those squirrel tunnels must be very cold! Your snow looks pretty to look at, but I wouldn't want to be out in it.

  14. Wow, that's a lot of snow. We only got a dusting. Mom wishes we'd get visiting duck. Dad says NO, NO, NO, NO, NO. We love how your squirrels make tunnels in the snow. We never get much so we're pretty sure our squirrels aren't tunnel engineers. Happy late Birthday to your Mom!

  20. We were reading about the huge storms down in your part of the country. We think you had the right idea, Georgia, lying on the heat register! The birdies must be very grateful for the food in that weather. Here we have warm, but gloomy weather. +9C and raining! Very un-January-like!
