Georgia Says-Lots Going on at Our Vet's Place

Georgia: Saturday morning mum came and got me  pretty
early. She said I had to go to the Vet for 9AM.
It was my semi-annual visit.

While I am not crazy about going there, I was pretty relaxed.
The Vet Tech were impressed that I was so calm too.
I got lots of attention, especially from the one in training..
The Vet was pretty happy with me  and said I looked great.
She stole some blood to do a wellness test.
Mum should hear by Monday how I did.

At  lunchtime, mum went back to the Vet alone.
They were having their annual "Open House"
They have raffle baskets and tours of the facility.
They also had a BBQ.
Mum took a picture of the staff.
My Vet is in the front with the long pants and behind he is her hubby.
He did the BBQ.
The girl in the colourful top is the Tech on  training
experience. She was nice to me.

This is the truck the Vet uses for making house calls
to horses and some other farm  critters.

Those tools look pretty scary! I am glad  that the Vet
does not use these tools on me.
Those rasps are way to big for my mouth.
They would fit in Vidock's mouth though !

As usual, Julie got lots of porch time.

Go on over and see what she was doing .
She is posting at House Panthers.

  7. You look so calm at the vet. Do you put up a protest when mum gets out the carrier? We don't like the carrier at all. Mum tries to get us to use it when it's not vet time, but we're not fooled. Hope your test results come back great.

  8. "Open house"?? Sounds very suspicious that humans are gathering at a vet's place!!

  13. We hope that the tests come back with good results!
Otherwise, it doesn't look like too bad a visit to the vet for Georgia, and the social event looks like it was fun.

  14. You do look so completely relaxed, Georgia. Our mom wants to know your secret. When we have to go, Mom has to hang on to us and block our repeated attempts at escape!

P.S. Did your mom bring some BBQ back for you?

  22. What a very good girl you were and are Georgia and of course Mommy loves looking at you. She has a tender soft spot for Torties. XXX Loved seeing the staff and the tools too. Vidock is such a good boy he likely would not mind getting rasped. Violette is so sweet she would just give a pretty neigh sweetly.

  25. Miss Georgia that looked like a great Vet visit and a really nice vet purractice too, it helps so much when the staff are nice :)

I was in fur an offur-night stay last week - a pancreatitis flare-up - and the nurses were great, giving me cuddles and snuggles, in fact it was rather a pleasant time! MOL

  29. Walker isn't a huge fan of the vet. Beau doesn't mind very much, he just hates the trip to the vet! I've actually been trying to see if there's a housecall vet in the are :)
