Random Picture Friday!

Julie: Spring is a really pawsome time of year.
It is getting warmer and the grass is growing!
You know how much I love grass!
This grass is so young and juicy!

Thankfully mum let me out just before supper.
I had a good chew. I enjoyed my time outside
but when I heard a car on our little road, I
decided it was time to go indoors.

The sun was shining on my table so naturally
that's where I went.

Mum liked the light too.
She said it made good dramatic pictures.
Um, OK mum!

Mum and I have noticed that the Mama duck and
her ducklings come around suppertime too.
Mama and one of her babies. The others
must be in the tall grass.

Mum  is not cutting the grass until the dandelions
stop blooming. That way the bees can come and visit.
We are doing our part to help save the bees.
Besides, we don't have a mower at the moment!
Have a good weekend friends!

  2. It is good that you are nervous and go in when you hear a car. You will stay safe like that. Those are lovely photos on the table with the sun shining on you.

  3. I like to sneak down for a few bites of grass when mom's not paying attention to me outside. I don't go much beyond our steps, but now and then I need a taste. That picture of you sure is dramatic in its lighting a shadows.

  4. You look glorious in the sunshine, Julie. We especially love the closeup profile pic. ♥

It's no-mow May! The biped notices that quite a few people have left their lawn or parts of their lawns to grow, which is great.

    Have a terrific weekend.

  15. Bees are important, so kudos to your Mom!!

We used to sneak out to eat the tender new shoots of grass at the sidewalk edge, too!

We have a duck family, with 5 ducklings, in the courtyard where I work. We hope they'll be able to find their way out...cause it really isn't a good place for ducks...no water nearby. Whatever was Mama Duck thinking!?!

  21. Looks like you enjoyed a great day of tender nibbles and sun puddles. We do everything we can to encourage bees (and other beneficial wildlife) to enjoy our yard. We do have to control the gophers though.
