Friday Thoughts with Julie

Julie: I am a bit sad today and so is Mum.
Yesterday Queen Elizabeth passed away.

She was 96 years old and that is a pawsome age.
She lived a good life too.
She reigned for 70 years!

I did not know this lady, but Mum says she was pretty cool,
even though she has never met her either.
Her picture is on our money so her image will be with
us for some time.
Purrs to her family.
Hail to  King Charles 3rd

  8. I'm right there with you, Julie. I didn't know how much it would affect me. I cried and cried. Being Canadian, Queen Elizabeth's face is on all of our money and stamps, as well. There's none other like Her Majesty and never will be. I stand with you in mourning her passing. What a legacy!

  10. A great loss for the whole world.
I am also Canadian, so I too mourn her loss with tears, even though 96 is a great age, and 70 years on the throne is unprecedented.
When I was 17 or 28, she came to our town. I was standing very close to where she walked, and her grace, poise and beauty impressed me even then. I almost could have reached out and touched her…but I restrained my teenage self! LOL! I will carry that memory with me forever.

The new King has big shoes to fill…God Save The King!
