Julie: We had a mostly good weekend.
Saturday was quite nice and sunny.
I sat on the front stoop/ramp and watched
the front yard. That's where the bird feeders are
and the groundhog, though I did
not see her around.
Good thing I was not out back!
Rocky was there!
I would not want to tangle with that beast!
On the other paw, the hummingbird feeder
is there and was busy.
Most often, I watch them from indoors.
Mum's room has patio doors that look out onto
the deck and I can easily see the feeders
from the comfort of mum's bed.
Julie, you have a wonderful front and backyard to keep an eye on with all kinds of wildlife. I have so many of them here in our yard too that are like yours. We even have a Rocky. Lynn has been calling him that for years. Funny we have the same name. Problem with him is he figured out how to climb on the clothesline and steal the suet. Now Lynn's back to taking it down every night like she did in the winter.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to be able to watch the humming birds. We are having good weather now and it reached 21C yesterday which is plenty hot enough for me! Any hotter and I will be complaining.
ReplyDeleteThe hummingbirds are amazing! Gees, Julie, Rocky is bigger than you are! Nope, you definitely wouldn't want to tangle with him!
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful things to see no matter where you go ... you're one lucky kitty! Now let's just hope sunshine comes your way.
ReplyDeleteWe had rain on Friday, so that meant Saturday's work in the garden was easier.
ReplyDeleteWe would love to have hummers too, and all kinds of wildlife.
Not only is it good for the planet, it's entertainment for the kitties; win win!
Oh the hummers. Mom and I have them too. Ruby Throat.
ReplyDeleteGood idea staying away from Rocky…
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see you enjoying your outside time sweet Julie but yes, don't be messing with that critter. Have a fun week!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mess with him either. Glad you have hummingbirds again. We had some then something dumped the feeder and they disappeared. Have a nice week. XO
ReplyDeleteWe are glad you had some nice outside time Julie ! The cats here avaoid the raccoons too. Hope you can get some bites of grass soon too.
ReplyDeleteI am waiting on the hummingbirds. If you see them, please send them north.
ReplyDeleteYou have lots of good 'TV Channels' to keep you entertained, Julie!
ReplyDeleteWe love watching the hummers, too. They sure do buzz!
It looks like there is plenty to keep you entertained in your back garden, Julie!
ReplyDeleteWe had a succession of beautiful days but it's really grey out there today, and colder.
Purrs,
The Chans
There's always great stuff to see outside at your place, Julie! We are glad you did not tangle with Rocky, either. XO
ReplyDeleteHi, Julie. You have all sorts of wonderful places to sit and watch the wildlife. It will be nice for you when the weather is a bit warmer. We are going into winter here but we don't get freezing cold, in any case. I admire your grass because mine is only in pots. From Sasha
ReplyDeleteBeing outside ta watch the world is GREAT! We love it. Seeing Hummers is great too. We have 2 feeders and maybe 4 Hummers.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to tangle with that beast either!!
ReplyDeleteRocky is cute, but you're best to keep your distance!
ReplyDeleteWell Miss Julie, we hope your week turned out nice for you. Looks like our upcoming one's gonna be a little wet.
ReplyDeleteyou are so lucky to have a busy hummingbird! We only had one so far and it only stayed for 30 seconds!!
