And Then There Were 2

On Friday, October 25,sweet JJ
crossed his Rainbow Bridge.
He was an amazing 22 years old!
He was happy and had an amazing appetite
right up to the end.
He was a sweet, gentle soul and he will be missed.
He IS missed already.

Here are some pictures of JJ through the years.
I did not have him from a kitten.
I first met him in 2005.

The 1st picture is from 2010.

One of his last pictures. He was unsteady on his feet,
But still got around.

Now, there is just Georgia (16 years)
and Julie (10 years) who joined us in 2012

Heading to the Rainbow Bridge

  3. Oh dear, this is so sad. We loved JJ, even though we've favored Georgia for obvious reasons. We're sending our comforting purrs and thoughts your way in hopes it makes even a tiny bit easier the sadness you're surely feeling. Dad says he had Orbit for 22 years before me, and reading this made him sad again. So sorry to see JJ go to the Bridge. Take care.

  14. You know I should celebrate the wonderful 22 years and be happy and grateful for JJ. I should. But right now I am sad to hear that he has gone from our sights, but not ever from our hearts. I know you are feeling the tremendous loss of your sweet angel and it is hard to let them go, even if we know that it's for the best. But I shall always remember how much you enjoyed your porch and sunpuddles JJ. Blessings.

  37. You are now undertaking the long journey through grief. While others may share that grief we all walk it alone. There are no right or wrong paths, no proper way to carry oneself on the trek, no set amount of time to complete it. Some steps will come easier than others. There will be rogue waves of grief that you won’t see coming, and knock you back days. But you will come through it. If you get lost let us know. We have been through it before and we might be able to help you find the way out.
