Going to the Vet in the rain?!!

Julie: See this picture? 

Well it was raining outside!

That did not stop the ducks from coming over though.

They really like the birdseed.

So, why am I screaming?

Because mum took me out in the rain!

She took me to the Vet!

OK, maybe it was not pouring, and I was covered,

but still!

 

OK! I survived the visit with the Vet.

They stole some of my blood!

 Later when I got home, they called

to tell me that everything looked great.

Sheesh!!! I could have told them that!!

I demanded and got a treat for my ordeal.

Needless to say, I got one!!

 Now I need a good long nap!

Getting ready to have my stitches out!

 

Julie: We are back in our home.

On Wednesday I go back to my Vet and hopefully

I will have my stitches removed!

I will really like that as it is pretty hard

not to want to lick that area.

Good thing they do not bother me and I 

did not need the cone or any other deterrent!

Mum was surprised.

Really mum?

                                                                            I am a good cat! 

                                                                   I  only licked at them  a bit.

        I did not bother them as I did not

want to go back to the Vet!

However, if it means getting the stitches out

I will gladly go!

Then maybe some furs will grow on my belly again! 

                                                 

                                                        

                                                    OK Mum...how about a few treats!!!

Happy Friday

Julie: We are happy today as Mom is off 

and she will be off Monday!

Don't worry Mom, I won't bite the tree or Santa.

Sheesh, I only did it once or so.

Yesterday, my brother JJ was at the Vet.

They stole 7 teeth!

He is relaxing today and is doing well.

He even ate dinner and breakfast.

He is sleeping a lot today, but I am glad he is OK.

He is, after all, almost 19!

Purrs for Georgia

Georgia is at the Vet today.

She will be having surgery to remove the growth

in her abdomen.

We purr she will do well.

We will update tonight.

Treasure- My Ordeal is Over!

Lick,lick,lick !

Oooooo! Gotta  get this Vet stink off my furs!

Mom took me to the Vet yesterday.

She had taken me on January 29 and the Vet stole half

of my teeth! Yesterday, they took the rest!

My mouth is a bit sore, but Mom gives me medicine.

At least it will not hurt any more because of my bad teeth.

I am glad to be home.

I still have to keep an eye on Mom.

I wouldn't want her to take me back to that vet place again.

However, if she wants to give me more stinky goodness,

well all I can say is bring it on!

Note: Treasure had really bad teeth and they needed to come out.

This was done in 2 sessions. For an older cat, 17 years, he

did very well.After resting most of the day at the Vet's,

he was pretty hungry when he got home. He seems to feel

 pretty good and  happy to be home again.

He handled the surgery very well!

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: Oh no, Mom is behind me isn't she?

What? I'm just relaxing.

I know it's a nice day. I just like to relax here.

It's comfy.

Besides, I'm still miffed that you took me to the Vet

early on Saturday! I know it was a check up. but they

stole my blood!

Treasure: I like to relax here too.

You come in here to use the computer and I know you

will give me scritches !

This weekend, we saw the ting Hummingbirds come to the 

feeder.

They like the juice Mom makes.

On Saturday, Mom went to an open house at our Vet.

It was in the afternoon.

This is the Vet Tech that I saw in the morning when I saw the 

Vet. She brought her horse to the open house.

His name is Storm and he is holding up his leg for a treat.

Then he gave kisses.

He is a Quarter Horse-Percheron mix.

Mom said he was friendly and enjoyed pats.

He is very nice looking!

Mancat Monday

On Friday it was windy and pouring rain.

Mom took me to the Vet in that weather too!

I have not been feeling well.

I have no appetite either.

Needless to say, I lost some weight

since my visit last year(1.5lb)

Blood tests show an infection,but not the cause.

The Vet felt something near a kidney,

so now I need an ultrasound and 

a biopsy. This may happen Wednesday.

Maybe you can send me some purrs 

so I can pass this big test!!

Mom wants me to feel well and be happy.

I do too, but all I want to do lately

is sleep.

Mom will update you when she gets some results.

Mom's Note: Mickey has had some violent sneezes for a few days.
The Vet feels he may have an infection in one of his teeth.
He will be taking antibiotics for 10 days.
We will hear the results from his Senior Wellness Panel
later today. Other than that,she said he appears to be doing OK.

Vets and Teeth

UPDATE: Mickey's Mom here. Sorry for the late update.

Mickey did NOT have his teeth done. The Vet said his liver values are up again.

She is reluctant to do a major procedure at this time as he may have a looming liver issue.

We are treating him with Denosyl(liver support) and Baytril to ensure there is no infection in his teeth.We will keep monitoring him.

Mickey is doing quite well and is eating his food and crunchies.

He is glad to be home and is his happy self.

Mickey is happy, his Mom is a bit concerned ;)

Friends, Mickey is having his teeth cleaned today.

We do not know yet if he will be having any removed.

We hope you will say some purrs for him.

We will update later this evening.

Mancat Monday News

I got the results of my liver tests.

The Vet took some cells from nodules inside my liver.

The tests were inconclusive,but there are changes in the cells.

The only way to be sure is a surgical biopsy.

If the biopsy shows that it is cancer,

there is nothing the Vet can do.

For that reason, I am not having that biopsy done.

Instead,I will have my teeth done.

Whatever happens in the future well,Que Sera, Sera .

Right now,I just want these Vet visits to stop so I can think

about my wedding to Miss Peach.

That is a much happier and fun occasion!!!!

Oh My Fur!!!!!!!!!

Well friends, I went back to the Vet yesterday.
I had my ultrasound.

They stole fur from my belly!!!!

You can see a little bit.
I would not show Mom a lot.
The Vet did not see anything obvious.
There were some nodules, so they took a sample.
They used a big needle to get some cells!!
We will have to wait 10-14 days to hear back.
I guess I can relax until then.

Well,maybe not!!!

Thoughts on Thursday

Yesterday,Mickey went to the Vet.
Mom thought he should have his teeth checked.
The Vet did say that he needs treatment.

She also said Mickey has another problem.
He has elevated levels in his liver.
She said they should be looked after first.

Look!!!! The Vet stole my furs!!!!!
I have a bare spot on my neck, just like Jack.

I have to take aunty biotic and Denosyl for 2 weeks.
I hope I do better on my next tests!!!
How do I study for them ????
