Welcome Back to the Chipmunk!

Julie: While mum was looking out of the kitchen
window she saw the chipmunk.
She was quite happy  to see it  as there are lots
of squirrels around!

We are not sure if this critter will stay around, but if he
does, there will be lots of tasty seeds and sunflower
seeds. He may have to put up with birds though.
They like to drop by for a bit.

Earl the Squirrel is pretty good at chasing
competitors away. He is pretty greedy when it comes
to foods. Not one to share.

Having said that, I must say that I don't like to share
my food either. If you want something, you need your own
bowl. MOL!
See? I will share as long as it is in another bowl.

When I am done, I can watch Critter TV.
I really have a great view and 2 wonderful
windows for my viewing pleasure.
Have a great day friends.

Oh, mum has some exciting news(for her)
that we will share on Friday!

Critters in the Yard

Julie: On Saturday, we had a wild, windy and rainy day.
It is not too easy to see the wind and rain, but you can see
the big puddle!

On Sunday, it was more sunny but much cooler
and very windy!
That did not stop Earl from getting his seeds or
Mr & Mrs Mallard from coming for seeds.
You have to look closely to see Mrs Mallard as
she is brown in colour. The males are much more
colourful.

This was another Mallard getting some seeds
at the end of the ramp.
It is always fun to see critters in our yard.

Sadly it is still too cold to go out.
Mum  is not bothered that I cannot get outside.
I wonder why?

Cats and Critters #3

Julie: When you get up early, you get to see
interesting things.
Sunday morning, mum and I saw this deer.
It was happily eating the hosta! MOL!

The duck family dropped by for some seeds mum put out.
The ducklings are getting quite big now.

Earl, as usual, entertained us with his
acrobatics!

 Quite the determined character!

He really likes those seeds !

These Mourning Doves were just grazing, to see
what goodies they could find.

Mum changed the hummingbird feeders
but the hummers have not been back since
she put them out. They are quite fast!

She did capture ME having a drink though.
Staying hydrated is important in the Summer.
Mum says it will be a HOT week with a mix
of sun and rain.
Thursday is Canada Day, so mum gets to
stay home with me.

Is it Thursday yet? MOL!!!

Finally Friday with Julie!

Julie: I am happy the weekend is here as I love
spending time with mum.
WE look out the windows to see the great outdoors.
We see lots of critters visiting our yard.
The silliest of all is the silly squirrels!
They love getting sunflower seeds from the bird feeder.
Most often he hangs oh the feeder!

I like to have naps during the day and this bed is pawsome.
It's soft and on top of a filing cabinet that is next to a floor
vent. It is very cozy in the Winter whenthe furnace is on!

This is my fave spot for brushing.
I sit here often and most times mum is quick
to take the hint. This brush feels SO good!!!!
Mum can do this ALL weekend...right?!

 That would be such FUN!!!
What are you doing this weekend friends?
Hope it will be FUN!

Today I want to wish a very
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
to the pawsome cat friend MARG!!!

My FUN Weekend!

Julie: I got to go outside.
It was sunny and warm too!
Needless to say I was excited!

I had a good look around...

then I hopped into the grass .
Mum is right. The tasty young grass is gone, but there
is still some grass!
I loved exploring and all the smells.
I was good and stayed close to mum.

Earl was in the tree and screeching.
I ignored him. After all, it was my time outdoors.
He can run around anytime.

Even though my outdoor time was short, I really
enjoyed it a lot . I hope it will be a long while before any of that
white, cold stuff comes around. I like my short excursions!
I hope mum lets me out again soon.

Monday Musings

Sunday was a nice,sunny day.
It was a little cool, but warmer than it has been.
Earl the Squirrel was out enjoying the sun and seeds
mum put out.

Earl certainly had a spring in his step!

He was even willing to pose.
Mum took the pictures from indoors.

Contemplating on the snow.

Georgia: While Earl was outside, I was enjoying
being inside.

I even got a few treats.
It was a pawsome day!

Julie: Did you say that Earl was outside?
He was running up and down the railings?

Gee, that's nice.
Now how about you rub my belly mum?!!

We are looking forward to March 8, because then the
days will seem longer.
That's when Daylight Savings time starts.
WooHoo! More sunshine in the evening!!!

Lazy Weekend with Ice,Snow and Sunshine !

Georgia: We had a lazy weekend. It was great as it included
an extra mum day.
Friday was very messy outside as there was an ice storm.
We were happy mum stayed home. She was too.
When it gets cold, I like to snooze undercover.

I must admit is was not cold at all in this little cave.
It is pawsome !

Julie: Sunday was sunny! It was cold outside,
but cozy on the porch.

It was great for snoozing and sunbathing.

Warm sunshine makes me so happy I have too
rub my face.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
I love sunshine!

After the ice storm, we had rain.
After the rain we had some snow.
That did not bother the ducks or the squirrel.
They all like to eat.

Even Mr Crow came for some eats.

For our friends at Troute Town
yes mum spends some monies on seeds,
but we make sure she gets OUR foods first.
If there is no money left for her food,
she can join the ducks! MOL!!!

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: Well once again you find me in my favourite
place. I love the computer room as it is cozy and mum
spends a lot of time in here.
Sometimes, she lets me have my meal in here.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm,tasty!
Now I can relax and wash my face.

Julie is in her favourite place...the kitchen.

She too has just finished her supper.
Lip smackin' good!

She is good about washing her face.

Making sure there are no bits of dinner on her face .
Her eating spot is on the windowsill and yes she is
on the counter.Needless to say mum spends a lot
of time washing them.Mum is pretty sure Julie is
on the counters when she is not home. MOL!

Sunday was pretty messy as far as the weather was concerned.
We had snow!  Heavy wet snow!
Saturday was sunny and cold.
You can see Earl keeping his front paws/claws
close to his body for warmth.
Julie spent a lot of time watching him too! MOL!!
We are looking forward to the end of the week
and much warmer temps!!
