Farewell from Julie

Julie posting from the rainbow Bridge

Julie: Hi friends. I am sorry to say that the
breast cancer I had some time ago has reared its
ugly head again. I was enjoying life with Mum
and Auntie L and Uncle J. We had moved in with them .
They have two cats...Summer and BC(black cat)
I was also losing weight. In spite of this, I was
doing Ok.
Lately, however, I started to not feel so well.
Mum took me to the Vet and we got the bad news.
That evil C was back!

Here is my last picture and last post.
As you can see, I am at the Vet place
getting ready for my final journey.
I am happy that Mum and I moved in with
Auntie L and Uncle J and my fur cousins
BC and Summer.
At least she will not be alone when I go to
the Bridge.

Julie:

Mums eyes are very leaky as she does not
want to say goodbye. I do not either, but I just do
not feel well.
Over the next few days Mum will post some pics of my
 fur cousins, Summer and BC.
Maybe they will carry on the blog.

I have really enjoyed visiting with you, my friends.
I do not want to go, but I am not feeling the best.
Maybe on special times when the moon is right
I will pop in to say Hi!
I will miss you my friends!
I will miss you Mum!!!!!!!!!!!

Mum: Julie, I will always love you and miss you!

Some Sad News

Julie: Friends, I have some sad news.
My furcousin Mindy  from Team Tabby has crossed her

Mindy was a really sweet, gentle soul.
Though very shy, she loved her mum and dad.
She also loved sitting on top of  her cat house and
watching all the dog walkers going by.
The people enjoyed seeing the "cat in the window"
as well.

Mindy was a sweet, shy kitty.
She enjoyed a happy life for almost 21 years!!
Mum and I send lots and lots of purrs to her Mum and Dad.

Thoughtful Friday

Before we start our post, we want to recognize the
passing of two special cats that have played a big part
in the Cat Blogosphere for many years.
She entertained us with her wardrobe and her charming life
and the many things she explored and all her antics
on her blog"Daisy the Curly Cat"

We also remember Maggy.
She lived in Florida with her sister Zoey and the
Zoolatry human.
When a move north was necessary, Maggy stayed
in  Florida with her new "mum"
While they were separated, the love was never lost.
Visits and news were often shared.
We loved seeing Maggy and Zoey and their
antics  on the Zoolatry blog

We will always remember these two very sweet cats.

For our post today we present our close ups!
Here is Georgia  highlighted by the evening sun.

JJ after he had a good long drink from the water bowl.
You can see he has a water mustache.

Julie in the kitchen window highlighted by the evening sun.

Saturday will be a bit rainy, but the sun returns for Sunday.
We also look forward to warmer temps.
Maybe Spring really has arrived!
Either way, you know we will be having FUN !!!

We Has a Sad !

Like many of our friends in the Cat Blogosphere,
we are very saddened by the passing of our
One of the first cats we we met when we first started blogging.
We enjoyed the adventures of Flynn and his late  brother Eric.
While we have many, many happy memories, we miss these boys.

We send lots of purrs to his mum and dad as they now
have an empty home.

Thanks for the memories Flynn.
Purrs!!!!!!

Goodnight Sweet Prince,My Little Treasure

My sweet Treasure crossed his Rainbow Bridge tonight.
Bit by bit his body just started to shut down.
Improvement in one area was accompanied by a deterioration
in another. He would rally for a very short time,
then relapse.
There was no hope of any meaningful recovery.
After a long visit at the hospital, I made the painful
decision to let him go.

I will miss you by my pillow and will miss the
licks you gave me when I scratched your chin.

Thank you for being a part of my life sweet boy.
We will miss you.

Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day

Today we remember some family members that have
crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
We are sad that they are gone, but thankful
they were in our life.

Zee & Zoey have created a very special day to honor and
remember those cherished pets we have lost but not forgotten"
~ Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day ~

Our blog founder Mickey.
He and Mom were best friends for almost 18 years.
He was a great friend and a kind and gentle cat.
We miss your easy manner and friendship.

Mickey loved his grass, and Mom liked picking
it for him. She fed it to him a blade at a time.
He had her trained well.

He loved looking out windows and enjoying wiffies.

He liked to participate in "Meow Like a Pirate Day"

But his biggest joy was his dear Miss Peach.

We miss our sweet Tiger.
She was a sweet girl and quite a talker too.

A spirited kitty with lots of Tortitude!

She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.
We miss you and love  Tiger.
She crossed her Bridge in her 18th year.

This is Moxie and he crossed his Bridge in his 3rd year
just months  before we started blogging.
He was a cute little imp and had a big hold on Mom.

Moxie was a littermate of Tillie and Georgia.
It was pretty hard to get over his passing as he was
quite a character!

The last in our remembrance is the hardest.
Our dear sister Tillie. She crossed her Bridge in her 10th year.
She had a big hold on Mom's heart and still does.
She was sweet,a Diva, demanding of Mom's
attention and a silly girl at times.

She loved boxes no matter what the size!

Like all of us, she loved "Meow Like a Pirate Day" too!
Here she is with JJ and Tiger.

Mom had a special bond with Tillie as she does with
pretty much all black cats.Tillie wanted to be near
Mom all the time too. In  many ways  she still is.
Mom thinks about her all the time and still misses her.

We miss all of our siblings.
We are glad we had the time with them that we did.
We will always remember them.

To all others remembering a special friend, we send you
love, hugs, purrs and we share tears as well.

"Part of Me..."

I thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday and the day before that too.
I think of you in silence. I often say your name.
But all I have are memories and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake, with which I'll never part.
God has you in His keeping. I have you in my heart.
I shed tears for what might have been. A million times I've cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly. In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place, no one can ever fill.
It broke my heart to lose you, but you didn't go alone.
For part of me went with you, the day God took you home.

Saying Goodbye to Tiger

Georgia: Once again, sadness has come to our home.
Our big sister Tiger has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.

Tiger was 17 years old and was showing her age. She slept more
and did not always want to eat. Mom took her to the Vet
Thursday evening and she stayed there. The Vet gave her
fluids and medicine. She also did blood tests that showed
Tiger was not doing well. Mom left her there to see if
she could rebound. She did for a bit, but it did not last.
Rather than have her alone at the Emergency Hospital,
Mom brought Tiger home Saturday afternoon and looked after
her. She was restless and did not want to eat. Mom set her
up on her heating pad and she slept.Every time she woke,
Mom gave her a pat  and told her she was a good kitty
and that she loved her.
Around 3:30 AM, Tiger's breathing slowed and she passed
gently away.

Mickey and Tillie were there to welcome Tiger to the

Julie is also doing her memorial post at
House Panthers. Pop over to see.
