Snowstorm!

Julie: We are getting our first big snowstorm!

Mum says it will bring lots of snow.

People that like to ski should  be happy

Mum just hopes the snow is light and fluffy.

So far, so good. Light snow is easier to move.

I'll hake her word for it. I'm not going out in that!

                                                             

Mum finally figured out how to post a video!

This is a first for her ...MOL!

I'm not sure what she means by old dogs and new tricks.

I did not see any dogs!

 Guess I know what mum is doing today!

I'll sit here and watch.

Friday morning and the sun is out!

We did get a lot of snow!

Snow and Sun on the Weekend

Julie: Well, the big snow we were expecting on Friday 

and Saturday did not come.

We got maybe 10cm(4in) of white,fluffy snow.

Mum likes that snow as it is light and easy to move.

She calls it broom snow because you could sweep

it away .

I watched rom the window as mum moved the snow.
 It did not take too long. She cleared a path to the birdfeeders

 and the steps down to the road.

On Saturday, the sun was shining so the snow melted

where mum shovelled .

Me, I watched her from this warm,sunny windowsill!

The mourning doves came before the sun came out.

They did not mind as they could still get the seeds.

When the sun came out, they did some sunbathing.

 No snow predicted for this week, but maybe sun and  rain!

Our Winters are not as cold as they were years ago.

Mum says that is OK. MOL!!!

Monday Musings with Julie

Julie: Happy Monday friends!

We had a pretty good weekend.

Mum said the temps were not too cold, but the wind was.

This week will be above  0C(32F) and there will be rain.

Sunday was sunny and I sat in the cat tree and looked out

through the porch door.

You can see out white landscape.

The snow is not very deep. It just covers the ground.

It did not stop Earl the Squirrel from eating the seeds 

mum put out.

  

You can see the tracks made by the critters.

Mostly squirrels.

The chickadees were happy to have some seeds too !

Georgia and JJ spent some time enjoying naps.

Georgia tells mum that that is enough pics for noe.

We purr it was not too hot or cold,depending on where you live.

Finally Friday

Georgia: We  had snow again. It came Wednesday night 

and Thursday night. It was, according to Mom, light

and fluffy (broom snow). Whatever kind of snow

you call it, it means Winter is still here !

It is pretty cool as well. Mom turns the heat down when 

she goes to work! Can you believe that? JJ and I

snuggle on the chair to keep warm!

Well, we like heat!

Julie: Ya know, I like heat too !

Treasure: Me too!!

Kitties, you will hardly freeze!  The heat is still on, just not 

at a tropical setting.I will turn it up a bit when I come home.

You need to run around and play . That will keep you warm

and the exercise will do you good.

Mom, when are you going to work!

Look at this picture. Do you see the cat tracks?

A kitty passed through the yard.  We have only seen a kitty 

now and then and we purr he has a home.

Mom puts out food, just in case.

 Mom says it will be cold and there will be flurries this weekend.

That means lots of cuddles for us.

Yesterday, we has a little snow.

It came down lightly.

This is Treasure watching the snow fall.

You cannot see the snow falling, 

but you can see the dirt on the window!!

Squirrel TV was great.

Earl was busy burying seeds that Mom put out.

You can see the falling snow this time.

We hope Earl the Squirrel has a good memory.

If not,how will he remember where his seeds are?

Guess what? It is looking like Christmas around here!!!

This is what Mom saw when she came home Friday night!!!!!!!!

SNOW!!!!!!

Saturday was sunny and a bit warm.
Some of the snow started to melt!

See how wet the deck is!

This part of the deck is in the shade,

so it does not melt as fast.

Mom also saw this footprint in the snow!!

She is not sure, but it might be from a raccoon!!

The prints were too old for her to tell.

Mom, are you sure you don't want me

 to go and check those footprints??

Really, I will ...please!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow is Monday. Do you know what that means?

Another storm!!!!!!!!!! Yup!! 

Storm #3  on  the 3rd Monday in a row!!

Maybe it's a good think that I stay indoors! heeheehee

Today for our close ups we are including some snow!!
We got a nice layer of the white stuff Wednesday night.

where Mom saw the ducks the other day.
It was snowing when Mom came home Wednesday night.
You can see her footprints. There are also critter footprints.
We get a few critters during the night.
We do hot see them though,only footprints.

Winter Wonderland

Well,Winter has finally arrived!!
We have had some light snow before,
but this is our first real snowfall.

In fact, Mom says that it is a snowstorm.
The 'storm' part will start later when the wind
starts to blow.

When Mom was taking these pics,she said it was freezing rain.
That does not sound like fun to us!

That stuff looks it would be cold on my toes!!

Therefore,we will be indoors doing this,

and this,

and plenty of this!!!!!
