Friday Close Ups-Cats,Critters and a Monster!

Georgia: Happy Friday friends!
Another week has passed, but it did bring Summer
as of June 21st!
We purr that we will get summer temps too.
The mornings and evenings are still cool.
At any rate, we are happy for this weekend
as we like having mum home for 2 days!
We present to you some close ups.
This is mine.

JJ

Julie  (on the porch naturally)

Mr Groundhog (saying something  to mum like"go away")

This young deer was  near the woodsy side of our place.

Mr Monster!!

Mum is scared and fascinated by these Fishing Spiders.
They are similar to Wolf Spiders but hang out
near water. There is a river  somewhat close to us,
but we think this guy is lost.

He is on the other side of the screen and you can see
 mum's forefinger and thumb.
Mum is not used to seeing spiders this big.
City spiders are generally smaller and we live just outside Halifax.

We purr you have interesting critters where you live
and that none are too scary.

Wishing you all a FUN weekend.

Eek, that is a big spider! He looks like he could deliver a nasty bite too. Thank cod he's on the outside!!

Beautiful up close shots, as usual! We enjoyed seeing Mr. Groundhog and Miss Deer too.

We like the critters in the yard more than TBT does. The fence keeps the Vishus Deer and Loose Big Doggies out, but Groundhogs and Rabiits get in. TBT caught this years Groundhog last week and made sure he would never come back. The Rabbits are allowed since they fascinate US and try to catch them. We never do, but they only eat the clover in the lawn, so thats OK. The Evil Skwerls are unstoppable (and uncatchable). TBT tells us that his parents cat once brought home 3 in one day, so we feel kinna inept. But those were Less-Evil Red Skwerls and ours are big Gray Skwerls, so we claim that is the difference.

Nice portraits! I think that is a COOL spider! Although maybe my human would not agree.

Those are lovely close-ups of the three of us, but that spider is rather impressive!

Our weather is still strange, going from very hot to quite cool overnight! Still, the sun is shining so we're not complaining!

These pictures of Georgia, JJ, and Julie are lovely. As for the others don't find most spiders too scary as long as they keep their distance, and that fisher spider seems cool to me. Mr Groundhog and the deer both look pretty nervous, but I suppose that's natural for world animals. I hope everyone has a wonderful Summer.

OH my goodness. Mom said she hasn't seen a spider of this size in a long while. She usually gives them a LOT of room. Translated to she goes away faster than she got there! You all look smoochable this fine day. Mom said she'd try to squeeze thru the tunnel to smooch you each. (ain't gonna happen).

JJ, that is a fantastic photo of you.
Yikes! That spider is very large.

My word Georgia, I swear every time I see you I think I'm looking in a mirror! Those are excellent photos. Mom and dad went for a walk in Carolina North Forest yesterday afternoon and came across a beautiful doe snacking just off the side of the road. Dad took a quick picture, but she was too far away for his zoom to take a good clear one. She lifter her head when she saw mom and dad, stared for a moment, and then when mom and dad quietly started walking away she dropped her head and continued grazing.

Your yard sure is a busy place...like the Grand Central Station of Georgia's Yard!! I am glad that spider is there...and not here, MOL! Petcretary is a true arachnophobic...

I checked out the Halifax link, and it brought back lots of good memories from when I lived there, said our petcretary...but there are lots of changes too, as she left there in 1977, MOL!
