We be headin' across this harbour in search

'o treasure.

We hear there be goodbooty for the taking!

Thar be our target,a place called Halifax.

Yar! We landed safe and are upon the boardwalk.

Now begins our search.

JJ had ter stop by this picture.

Looks like there be lots 'o treasure hunters!

We be furthurin' our search.

Arrrrrrrrrrr!

There be none here!

Nor here!!

But wait!

What be this in our midst?

A fine bounty be ours!

There be fishies and tasty morsels and more!

We are successful in our quest!

Friday Close Ups-Cats,Critters and a Monster!

Georgia: Happy Friday friends!

Another week has passed, but it did bring Summer

as of June 21st!

We purr that we will get summer temps too.

The mornings and evenings are still cool.

At any rate, we are happy for this weekend  

as we like having mum home for 2 days!

We present to you some close ups.

This young deer was  near the woodsy side of our place.

Mr Monster!!

Mum is scared and fascinated by these Fishing Spiders.

They are similar to Wolf Spiders but hang out

near water. There is a river  somewhat close to us,

but we think this guy is lost.

He is on the other side of the screen and you can see

 mum's forefinger and thumb.

Mum is not used to seeing spiders this big.

City spiders are generally smaller and we live just outside Halifax.

We purr you have interesting critters where you live

and that none are too scary.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm!!

It is so nice outside.

Oh hi!!

I am on the porch enjoying some nice sunshine!

It has been a while since we have seen any!

Most days have looked like this!!

May has not been sunny or warm!!

Sunday, we had some sun!!

It came after lunch,

and left after supper.

Today is the same,except we had more rain

and less sun!

I want the sun!!!!

 I also have something to tell you.

You remember Sammy from our Friday post.

Many of you asked if he lives her too.

The answer is no.

He lives by the water.

Mom sees him when she takes

the ferry across the harbour.

You should see what Tillie is doing!

What Mom Saw

So, on Monday I told you that Mom & her Sister

went to another Tea & Tour,then went to see Mindy.

Well, on the way home Sunday night,this is 

what Mom saw.

This is a big house in Halifax that was really decorated.

It had lots of lights and little scenes.

It was getting ready to move to Bedford Basin 

as a big,windy storm was due to blow in on 

Monday. It WAS a huge storm too!!

Many communities outside Halifax suffered much damage.

We were indoors,cozy and dry!!
