My Fave Spots !

Julie: Today I am showing you three of my fave

spots to hang out.

First up is this table I like it as I have a great view

of the living room and into the kitchen.

It also had this really soft, furry matt

It makes it easy to keep an eye on Mum ;) MOL!!!!

This  is  my other fave spot. As you can see

it is very comfy with a blanket.

I also use this spot for snoozing.

This spot is really comfy too.

As it is on top of a filing cabinet, it gives me a 

great view of what's going on around me.

Mind you, if I fall asleep, I don't see too much!!!!

MOL!!

That's  OK though, because you know snoozing is  FUN!!!

Having mum home all the time is more FUN !!!

You know ... belly rubs on command,  that sort of thing.

MOL!!! I love it and I think mum does too.

Dining with a view!

Julie: I like my view when I am having supper.

It is really nice when the sun is shining.

Yup! My dinner is ready to eat!

Suppertime is a really nice time.

I like my meals. I really like them with sunshine.

Mmmmmmm! This is good!

 Now that the weekend  is here I am looking forward to 

seeing how the grass is coming along. Mum says

it will be sunny and that's good for grass.

Oh boy, I'm looking forward to some FUN!!!

Julie Goes Walkies!

Julie: Our snowstorm on Monday was not so bad.

We did have some snow, but then it rained.

Mum said it was wet and messy.

Then the temps rose and by midweek, there was no

more snow!

It was, however, a cooler week with sun and cloud.

I went outside to look.

Then I looked at mum...

Bye!

Here I am! At the end of the ramp.

Mum took the picture showing me

at the end of the ramp This is the space between 

the house and the ramp.

As you can see, we still do not have any

grass! I cannot wait for it to grow!!

 

Mum says next week will be sunnier and warmer.

That should help the grass grow.

I sure hope it does!!!!

That would be FUN!!!!!!!

It's Friday and April Fool's Day

Julie: I am gradually getting better at posing for mum.

Still not a fan of the camera, but I realize that sessions are short

and even shorter when I cooperate.

I'm glad she did not play any April Fool's joke

on me either. However the day is not over yet.

Maybe I will play a joke on mum! MOL!!!

.

It is still pretty cool in the evenings, but the light is 

lasting longer. I like that!

As  it gets warmer, the grass will begin to grow.

I can't wait!!! As it is still chilly, I do

not spend much time outside as it is too

cool and that is not FUN!

The Weekend ...Warm and Cool is Here!

Julie: I am pretty happy that it is Friday.

Mum will be here all weekend. I like that.

I love to hang out with mum and I think she feels

the same way.  She always likes to know where I am

and likes it when I am near.

I also like to know where mum is and I love to 

hang out with her.

Here I am helping her with my blog.

When we are done, I will hop onto her

lap for hugs and scritches.

Is that FUN or what?!!!!

I think it is and never tire  of her giving them to me.

Good thing too as I don't think I could stop her,

not that I would want to stop her.

 Mum says we are expecting a wind and rain  event

on Saturday.  She is glad she will be home.

Sunday will be cooler.

This time of year the weather is up and down between

cool and warm. I am glad we will be heading toward more

warmer weather as Winter comes to an end.

Mmmmmmmmm, grass will be back!
Now that will be FUN!

The Weekend is Here, So is the Snow!

Julie: I am happy that March will be here next week.

So is Mum.  That is because we are having yet

another storm!!!! This one is looking like

a big one too! We should get about 15cm

of snow and blowing snow!

The snow is not too bad, it's the blowing part that

is not so nice.

This was our yard last night.

It will look very white tonight.

 Guess I will be getting lots of belly rubs as it seems

mum will be staying close to home this weekend.

I will really like that! It will be FUN!

March will also mean warm weather is coming 

and longer days. Now that will really be

FUN!!!

Dining without the view

Julie:   Ahhhhhhh! 

Nothing like having a meal by the window.

Not much of a view though as it is dark outside.

There is no snow either!
It rained all day yesterday and washed it away!

All that is left is some ice in some areas.

It will be mild until Sunday then start cooling

again and maybe some more snow.

Mum likes snow better than ice.

I prefer green grass, but I guess I'll have to

wait a few more months to see that.

Yup, life is pretty good indoors.

It is warm and cozy all the time.

 OK mum, lets go do some brushies!
I love getting brushed.

It is so FUN and feels good!!!

Another Weekend, Another Storm

Julie: So, here I am posing nicely for the camera.

Mum says I do not co-operate with her

taking my picture.

I beg to differ!

However, I do let her know when I think the session

is over!

Once again, we are expecting some sort of

stormy weather this weekend.

It will be snow or rain, a combo of the two,

or either one(though just rain seems unlikely)

Whatever Mother Nature throws as us, mum

and I will be cozy indoors (as long as we do not

loose power)

We just hope it will be cozy and nobody looses pawer.

We look forward to having FUN!!

Finally Friday with Julie

Julie: Well, it has been quite the week.

The temperatures have been up and down.

We have had sun and rain and cold!

Once again our snow is gone.

This week has been OK, downright COLD,

rainy and now back to  cold.

We are expecting sun for the next 3 days then

back to snow on Monday.

Strange as it may seem, mum says it is warmer when it snows!

These are good times to be indoors where it is cozy and warm.

I am a lucky kitty to have a cozy home.

 Now, I look forward to the weekend and lots of brushings 

and belly rubs!!

That will be SO much FUN!!!

Hanging with Mum!

Julie: Gee, mum's desk is a bit messy.

At least there is room for me to sit.

Sometimes I need to sit here to remind her that

she needs to pay more attention to ME!

 Good thing that is not hard.

Mum likes giving me attention...and scritches,

and kisses and hugs and... OK, you get the idea

...she loves me !

Well, I am a lovable girl and I love mum too!

I love to  be near her all the time. OK, most of the time.

We both enjoy being together because it is FUN!!

We both like FUN too!

I purr you all have a FUN weekend!

Friday Thoughts

Julie: Yesterday , mum was home as it was

Remembrance Day. She was able to watch the 

local ceremony on the internet and she said

it was very nice and well attended.

Since mum was home, I got to go outside.

I liked that , but did not like that is was rather cool!

 

I came back inside and decided to look out the window

from the comfort of my cat cup tower.

It is quite comfy and mum cam walk by and

give me scritches. I like that!!

I also like that it is the weekend and that means

more mumtime !

The forecast is warmer, but rainy. Darn!
Oh well, I guess that means more scritches and

belly rubs!!

 You just know that will be FUN!!!

Trying to nave a nap!

Mum, it was bad enough that you dragged me off

to the Vet but now you are trying to disturb my nap!

Sorry Julie, but they needed a better sample of your blood.

The previous sample was not good.

Also I want to take some daily pics.

There! All done!

Gee! Now I can't sleep!!

How about some brushies?

Sure Julie! I'll get the brush!

Julie's Vet Visit

Julie: Mum kidnapped me!

She put me in the PTU and we went to the Vet!

I was not too happy.

However, after the exam, the Vet said she

was happy  that I was doing well!

She said my teeth looked really good!

While I did not like her taking my blood and pee

I am glad it made her and mum happy.

The Vet will call mum with the results of

the pee sample and blood sample.

 The best part, we were not there too long 

and I came back home and had a good

supper.

Whew! I am glad that is over with!!

Now I can enjoy the weekend .

That will be FUN!!!!

Curiosity Gets You in the Cat House!

Julie: Last night I went outside for my taste of grass.

It was not as good as the grass in Summer.

I moved  away from my normal spot near the ramp.

I sampled more grass. As you can see, things are starting

to turn brown. The ferns are really brown.

But I wanted to see if there was better grass.

I went past the stump and that is a no-no!

Beyond the stump are the stairs that lead down to 

the road. Mum stomped her foot !

That scared me so I came running to the house!

Mum says the weather is changing and there will not

be anymore new grass. She also said I cannot go out if I 

wander away. She mentioned the word harness.

Hmmmmmmmmm!

 I am not sure I will like a harness, but if I want to go out

I may need one. This is a good time to get ideas oh what 

type of harness to get.

What do you think  makes a good harness?

Will it be FUN ?

I guess it may have to be if I want to go outside!

Thanksgiving Weekend in Canada!!!!

Julie: Gee,  it's only 7PM and look at how dark

it is already! I moss the Summertime with it's

long, warm evenings!

Don't worry mum, I'm not going far.

I just want to have a few blades of grass.

You know, this would be easier if you mowed the grass!

Oh well, these look like tasty blades!

Yum!!! Long grass or not, it still tastes good!

 I am thankful that I have a yard where I can go out

and eat some grass and be safe. Mum always watches me

so I never go far. .

Because it is getting dark earlier now.

I did not stay out very long.

I am thankful too that it is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada.

That means I get an extra day with mum!

You just know that will be FUN!!!

Friday Views with Julie

Julie: From the windows in my place, I often have
some pretty good views.

I can watch the Chickadees eating the sunflower

seeds in the feeder.

I also see Mourning Doves and Blue Jays

eating the seeds mum puts out .

I like my view of the deck at the back of the house,

but I like the front of the house best!

That is where the good grass is and  you know how

much I love grass!

It is also where the birdfeeders are as well.

I have great views from the kitchen window

and can see the feeders.

Best of all, I like that I can get out for some grass!!!

 Yes! Being outside is FUN!!!!

It is the weekend so you know that will be FUN! 

as mum will be home!!!!

Pet Photo Fails with Julie!

Julie: Today I am telling you about the common

problems incurred when photographing a 

black cat.

Lighting is important.

With all our black furs, it is easy to miss 

seeing things like our eyes. 

Be sure your cat is looking at the camera.

Some editing may be required if the situation is

low light.

If you are looking for a silhouette, then black

cats are perfect.

Mum knows these things and still gets lots

of photo fails.

Usually, mum is just happy if I look at the camera.

I do not always cooperate. MOL!!!
