Hi!! Georgia here, just relaxing on the porch.
Do you remember on Friday we told you
that Mom did a very silly thing when she was
taking pictures in the dark?
Mom figured that it was too dark to take pictures
without a tripod to hold her camera.
Later when she was looking at some
pictures in her camera, she looked at her exif data.
This is a program her camera has to tell her
what exposure, shutter speed and so on, that she
was using.
This is an example of Exif Data.
You can also download programmes,
but Mom has one in her camera.
It was when she was looking at this,
that she noticed a BIG error she made!!!
Mom's lens comes with something
called Vibration Reduction (VR)
This helps reduce some camera shake
when shooting in low light while hand holding
the camera.
Somehow Mom managed to turn the VR to OFF!!!!
We all giggled because Mom's face was a bit red
from embarrassment,hahaha
Now that she turned it back on, there should not
be any more fuzzy pictures of us,
unless we are moving!
Silly Mom!!
Speaking of silly, why not pop over to
House Panthers and see what Tillie is doing

Considering the low light in the living room, where my human usually takes photos of us, the VR is pretty much permanently on around here!
We do not have VR on ours yet. Our camera is old so the Woman does a lot of stuff to place the camera on either a tripod or else something else stable or she adds extra lights and does a "set".
Your mom is smart and up-to-date! My mom uses dad's fishing camera! (and she's obsolete!) You haf great pics. Haf a pawsome Monday.
Pee Ess - be sure the ladeez go ofur and check out my blog.
Been there done that! Mom's not silly just busy. Purrs from our fur gang.
Our Mom is too lazy to even use a real camera these days! She takes our photos with her stupid phone!
My mom never worked with VR at all, because her camera doesn't have that option ! when it's dark ! she always got crap photos, but it doesn't stop her to use the camera which I found it's annoy ! Lots of time, she fix it in photoshop but it doesn't work every times ! taugh luck for her..tee hee
Mom said thanks to your mom, may be one day she might have the camera like your mom's one : )
Silly mistakes are bound to be made in the world of photography! More than once, Heather has tried to take a photo with the cap still on the lens! ;)
Our mom doesn't have a DSLR, just a few point and shoots (she especially loves her Fuji HS10). Fortunately they all have image stabilization. LOL. It certainly helps! :-D
Happy Monday!
Our mum occasionally takes a whole bunch of photos with the lens cap on... She hasn't been able to brave night time photos yet.
We have always loved your photos and think that your Mom is a fantastic photographer!
Cute picture of Georgia. I've sometimes left settings wrong, such as being in manual aperture mode instead of switching to automatic. I'm curious about that lens, I could use a good one with that sort of range + VR.
Hee, hee, your silly mom!
Our lens like that went to a wedding with tallson's girlfriend, who was the photographer for a wedding. Mom insisted she take it because you miss a lot of shots changing lenses. She is waiting to see some of the photos and keeps checking FB. She should be busy getting photos of US instead, humph!
MOm just loves the VR on the lens! She was a bit overwhelmed at first (well she still is a wee bit) with all the options, but she bought the book for dummies on camera and she is amazed at all the things it will do.
purrs
