Friday Close Ups

We have been having some very nice weather

this past week. Mom says it will not last.

It is raining today and will keep on

raining until next Wednesday !

No sunny snoozes for us.

Oh well, at least we are indoors

 and warm and dry!!

My sweetie Shadow and his family,

sent me some Catnip and CatMint!!

They even included pictures of Fatty and

dear ,sweet TT Girl.

We did not get to visit our friends this weekend.

Mom was busy with family matters.

One of her brothers in law's Mom

passed away.

Mercedes was a joyful,beautiful,vibrant lady.

Everyone that met her,loved her.

We did not go to say goodbye,

but we did send lots of purrs.

We love you and will miss you.

Someday, we will meet again.

Tillie was looking for Mom this weekend too.

Thoughts on Friday

Hi Friends,Tillie here.

We are a bit miffed at Mom.

Once again,she is not helping us

visiting all of our friends,only a few.

WE know Mom is busy during the week,

but she is still out and about on weekends

and not taking as many pics of us!!

We will try to set her straight this weekend,

maybe,heehee

So!! Instead of "close up Friday",

we will give you a group photo.

Trust me, group photos are pretty rare around here!!!

We purr you all have a super weekend!!!!!!!!

9-11 Ten Years Later- We Remember

Today is the 10th anniversary of a very sad event.

Today we remember the terrorist attacks that

took place in the United States and the many 

people who lost their lives, including some

26 Canadians.

When the US closed their air space,

many planes were diverted to Canadian airports.

Some 42 planes came to Halifax  until it

was OK for them to travel  to the US, 

or back to their home countries.

We purr that events like this do 

not happen again.

What Mom Saw

When Mom was in Ottawa on her vacation,

she visited a most interesting museum.

The Canadian Museum of Civilization.

 This is located across the Ottawa River

 in Gatineau,Quebec

This fountain is just to the side of the main entrance.

You can see the Ottawa River in the background

 as well as the Parliament Building(tall steeple

known as the Peace Tower) in Ottawa, Ontario

The fountain viewed from below.

Inside on the first floor is the "First Peoples Hall"

 This sculpture is on the back of our

$20 dollar bill.

It was created by Bill Reid and is called

"The Spirit of Haida Gwaii"

Just a tiny bit of the things Mom saw 

on her vacation.

Midnight Monday with Tillie

I am on the porch enjoying the sun.

It feels great on mu furs, Now that 

Mom is home,I can sit on the porch 

again.

Mom is outside feeding the birds and squirrels,

She is getting me some grass too !!

I have not had any since she went on

vacation !

Grass!!!!!!!! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

Got any more Mom ???

Yum, I love grass as much as Mickey did!

Now,I will just relax and enjoy the sun.

I am so happy Mom is home !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
