Today is Remembrance Day.
Today is a day of remembrance for the men and women,
and all the animals, who have served and continue to serve
our country during times of war, conflict and peace.
We are thankful for all the rights and freedoms we enjoy today
because of our Veterans.
This is the tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa.
After the Remembrance ceremony, people leave their
poppies on the tomb.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
from the poem by Robert Laurence Binyon
The poem "In Flander's Fields" by John McCrae
We give thanks to all out Veterans!

That was a terrific post (even if I can't type today). We love all of our heroes, past, present and future.
Paws up for all those who have served.

That's a great post.
We thank the veterans of all our allied countries.
We remember and are thankful for those men and women who wore their country's uniform.
What a nice post, kids. My mom remembers that when she was a kid, everybody wore poppies on 11/11; nowadays she can't remember the last time she saw one.
We thank all those that served...or are currently serving. They are true heroes.
Flanders Field always brings leaky eyes to mommy. It is such a beautiful and very touching, so wonderful and expression of love and gratitude.
