Julie: Last weekend when I was on the porch looking
out the window I saw some strange critters!
Mum said they were groundhogs.
They were baby ones and the Mama was close by.
This is the Mama.
She is very cautious and looks out for the little ones.
Mum was indoors and took the pictures through glass and
the railings on the deck.
She saw this young one.
Looking for tasty shoots and grasses to eat.
Wandering through the yard.
Hmmmmmmmmmm,this looks tasty.
So does this!
Well, maybe not.
The baby groundhogs have a bit of grey in the furs.
They get more brown as they get older.
Two of the five babies.
They move very fast and it was hard for mum to get pictures
of them grouped together.
This baby must have sensed he was being watched.
It was fun watching these little critters run around
the yard.
Mum was happy she was home and able to get a few pics.

Cute! We don't have groundhogs here. Hopefully they aren't too destructive.
What fun critters to sight! The Acro-cats have a trained groundhog - can you believe it?
I don't believe I know the Arco-Cats that Summer just mentioned. I wish I did so I could visit the groundhogs. Seriously. I love it when our mom's can get a flashy box going to capture the outside critters on TV! These were great fun to see. All our moms and dads have to get pictures through screens and railings. They don't want to scare our TV stars out there. xxx
Awww, they're cute! Our biped loves critters of just about any kind, and babies are irresistible. :-)
You have ground hog television?! How cool is that?
Julie, our neighbor has a weeping fig tree that the neighborhood groundhog seems to favor, and they are kinda mad at the groundhog! I've suggested some natural groundhog repellents, rather than trapping the beastie...and then what? Groundhogs are surprisingly fast, aren't they?
Neat Julie. All we have are birds and squirrels.

They're cute and all, but do they make predictions when they see their shadows?
How fun! That's a channel we don't get. We need to call our cable company.
We love Groundhog TV, too! That's one adorable family, Julie!
What a fun bunch of critters to watch!
Our groundhog channel has been takenn out of our lineup...but we do have squirrel and chipmunk and gopher TV, not to mention oodles of birds...
Those young groundhogs are kind of cute, but petcretary says the tunnels they make are dangerous if you step in the entrance...
they're pretty cute...
How cute ! We don't have groundhog channel here ! Purrs
