Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: We had some rain this weekend.
That is OK as we needed some and since we are
indoor cats, it does not matter to us.
We did miss the sunbeams though.

I like to hang out with JJ.
He is a good nap buddy.

Mum took some pictures in the yard.
She says there is a wild display of fungus.
Here is some bu a tree stump.

Here is Earl showing the size of the fungus on this dead tree.
See all the holes?
Those are squirrel apartments.

This plant is a Yucca
Mum moved it to this location a few years ago.
Our plant seems to bloom every 2 years.
Some plants can bloom every year.
Since this plant gets more sun and is not fighting
with other plants, it started blooming.
It never did in the old location.

As usual, Julie enjoyed her weekend.
Yes she is on the porch.

The picture with Earl is great. That fungus is huge! And those squirrel apartments are really cool.

Those squirrel apartments look like something out of a fairy tale!

The fungi is huge and makes the perfect stepping stones to the squirrels apartments, or maybe it is their balconies.
We had much needed rain too over the weekend for the first time since early May. The hot weather is forecast to return this week though.

Those fungi are gigantic! And really neat to look at. Our biped has a weird fascination with fungi. :-P

Seems you all had a great weekend; we hope the week is as good or even better!

Georgia, is JJ using your butt as a pillow? What's with that? Earl is a cutie, and the fungus is pretty cool looking!

It's great to have a good nap buddy for when it's raining outside. Those are the days for a really good cat nap. We would have loved to see a squirrels head look out of one of the squirrel apartment holes. Thanks for sharing the lovely photos. Have a wonderful week.

That fungus is actually quite pretty even though it is a fungus, MOL!
Petcretary has lots of embroidered pieces with fungi in them! She had a whole display! Go figure they are all in boxes now...
