Monday Musings with Georgia

Just having a little relaxing time on the floor.

Mom was here to see us,but did not stay long.
Mom and her sister went to the valley to see
their Mom and another sister.

We did get lots of scritches and hugs
but it's not as good as having Mom home all the time.
All transit talks have broken down,
so we are back to square one!!
So, on day 33 of the bus strike, there
is no end in sight!!!
We are not happy.Neither is Mom.
We will post and visit as we can.
Hope you all have a good week!!

Pop over to House Panthers
and say Hi to Tillie !

Oh Georgia, we hope that strike ends soon so your mom will be home for good!

Oh, no. Bet you and your mom feel like throwing all parties involved in one room and locking the door until they settle! Mom still doesn't like the governor (current) who refused to do this.

That is a long time for a strike. I hope it gets sorted soon. Purrs to your Mum for all her trouble.

Aw man! That is awful that that strike has been going on, and there is no end in sight. You all should go prod both sides, claws out, to get them to agree on something!

Okay, why haven't the transit employees been legislated back to work? Surely transit should be considered an essential service?

I did hear that some of those who are walking back and forth across the bridges (can you walk on both?) to and from work were losing weight, though. One small bonus, I suppose.

Looks like a nice time relaxing and rolling on the floor :)

Sorry that the bus strike is going on so long. It must be hard on a lot of people there who depend on the busses (and of course hard on the cats as well).

The strike has been going on for far too long. We hope they see sense soon and get back to what they should be doing - serving the public!

More than a month!!! That's awful! Very hard for everybody and their families.

Here are some gentle skritches for you, Georgia - skritchy skritch. Sweet girl, we know your mom will come visit with you as much as she can. We love that pic of you looking over your shoulder.

#1 has been reading up on the Halifax transit strike and is not impressed. We thought the French rail workers were bad in terms of striking but at least they never strike for more than 36 hours at a time! Putting so many people who are trying to learn a living in such a situation in the middle of winter is unconscionable.

Still? That's just so rude of them to inconvenience you! We hope your mummy gets to be with you lots over the weekend.
