Julie: Hi friends. Are we ever happy that it is Friday!
This week, it felt like we had Winter in one week.
We had a storm Monday that went into Tuesday,
Then, we had a storm Wednesday night into Thursday!
Today we are seeing the sun, but with lots of flurries.
This is Monday.
You can see the trees being blown about.
This mourning dove was not happy about the wind
and snow. It kept covering his cracked corn.
Mum went out to shovel.
The first job was to make a path to the birdfeeder.
Then she put down lots of bird seed.
She continued shoveling as there was a lot of snow.
Behind the trees are stairs that go down to the road.
The truck belongs to a neighbour.
He had not started moving the snow yet.
Later on Tuesday, the sun came out.
These birds were very happy and hungry!
The storm Thursday added a bit more snow.
It was very messy as it was windy and the temperatures
were warmer. That made a lot of slush.
While the weekend will have lots of snow flurries, the
temperatures will be on the plus side even if it
will be only +1C. (33.8 F)
At least it is above freezing!
MOL!
No matter what your temperature, we wish you all
a FUN weekend!

Your mom is so nice to take care of the birdies. That poor dove looks about ready for spring! Have a great weekend, too, kids!
Sorry about all the snow, I hope you have a better weekend.
Wow, that's a lot of snow! Thank cod the birds have food. :)
Brrr, dat looks cold!
You got a LOT of snow! I bet the birdies were happy to have that seed.
We sure hope the snow-shoveling went sort of easy on Mom. TBT has a machine. But doing the path to the birdie TV was a good idea.
Oh brrrr, you had a lot of winter in one week indeed! That mourning dove must be anxious for a warm spring. Glad you had some sunshine, too, and it's gonna be at least above feezing in the weekend :-)
Happy Friday and have a great weekend!!
We've seen pics on the news of all the snow in the east, and of course our biped has talked to her mom a few times.
Well, last winter we had 50 cms of snow in 13 hours (which the human had to slog through for 5 kms to get home, because the university wouldn't be sensible and close until it was way, way too late, 3PM). She will forever remember that "adventure." This year we've been lucky so far, knock on wood, just the 25 cms on Sunday, which is the most we've had at one time this year.
Here's to a slow warm-up for you all, otherwise there will be flooding!
I'll bet you sweeties will be glad to see Spring! Have a fun weekend everyone!
When we have snow, the first thing I do is shovel paths for The 'O' Cats! When it's February, any day above the freezing point is a good day! Have a great weekend!
That's a lot o snow, and very cold! Those birds are lucky to have you to take care of them!
At this end, #1 saw crocuses in our garden this afternoon!

You sure got plastered with way too much snow. We hate to let you know how balmy it is here...some plants and furs like coons and skunks are going to have a rude time when winter decides to return... We might have record breaking highs here...Even now in the night time its in the high 40's... We see petcretary making paths in the lawn areas for dog-guy and for access to our many feeders. Pawppy uses a machine for the walks and driveway...but...well its only snowed enough here to get the machine out twice, MOL!
Stay warm and safe all of you!!
Wow, that's a lot of snow ! The birds are lucky to get fed ! Purrs
Wow, you got a lot of snow. Glad you were able to feed the birds and get some shoveling done. Bet that was hard work. Hope things get better today.
The birds are very lucky that your Mom keeps their feeders full. I'm sure they appreciate it. Hopefully the snow slows down so your Mom doesn't have to shovel again soon.
Looks like the perfect stay inside and snuggle weather.
Wow! You sure got lots of snow! Your Mom is the best, and we know the birds appreciated her putting down some extra food for them. Have a great weekend, sweet pals!
Your momma be thanked for caring for and about the birdies. XXOO
that snow is so thick I hope you have a snowblower to help! I love that your priority was to make a path to the bird feeder!
