As you can see, I'm looking forward to this new year.
OK, maybe I'm just looking, but I am looking forward
to a new year.
Mum talks about change. I'm not sure what she means
so I will reserve judgement for now.
All I know is that it is a new year and both mum
and I hope that 2022 will be a good year for everycat and
everyone!!!!

Happy New Year to you both, Julie! We hope whatever changes are coming are GOOD ones for you both. We don't know your mum's age, but maybe early retirement???? (Early retirement is on this biped's brain. LOL.)
Julie, the best part of New Year's is that we are facing Spring; it cannot get here too early for me.
The Brrr months: October, November, December, make facing Winter sorta of sad, so once we've rounded the bend into a fresh year, it seems more bearable.
Or I can be psyching myself out, but hey...*grin*
