Snowy Weekend!

Julie: Well, we had our snowstorm on Friday.
Mum was happy that she took a few vacation days
and was home during the storm.
We were lucky as we did not get too much snow.
It was light and fluffy. Nor did we lose power.
Mum had two siblings that lost power.
Both of them live  quite a ways from us.
They also got more snow.
They were without power for
One sister got her power back Saturday night!
Her brother(who lives farthest away) got his power
back by lunchtime on Sunday!!
He was OK as he has a generator.

The ducks did not seem to mind the snow.
They really like the seeds mum puts out.

Happy ducks!

Sunday, we got rain!
Monday is a bit better with some sunshine.
and not too cold.
Good thing as Tuesday is supposed to be really cold!
The temps will go up some for the rest of the week.

Gosh Julie, I know how glad you and your mom were that you were home for the last snow! My mom was always grateful too when she was home for these or for ice storms.

Julie, we had a brief snowstorm, then it warmed up enough for the sidewalks to clear.
Now, a super cold front is here.
It's good that the ducks are getting a snack.

Thank you for your kind words and visiting me after I ran off to the bridge. You are a dear old friend and I shall treasure that.

Looks way too cold at your place but the duckies seem to like it.
Stay warm and healthy.

Oh, lots of snow! Glad your house stayed warm and cozy and as well that you did not lose power.

Its cold here, too with snow on the ground and our birds are very hungry. We just saw 5 bluebirds eating the proffered nuts and seeds along with mealworms their fave. For some reason we hardly see bluejays.

We're glad you both stayed home this past weekend. Getting snuggly in a snowstorm is the best thing anyway!

Glad you didn't lose power. We really need to get our generator fixed. I worry about losing power in the cold weather. XO

Julie, we are glad you and Mum were safe and warm -- and had power -- during that snowstorm. We, too, had snow on Friday. Then it tunred quite cold and there is lots of ice everywhere. But we are inside, and all is good. Thank goodness. Hugs to you and Mum!
