Julie: I went outside to check out the grass.
April is not a good month for grass where we live.
As you can see, there is NO grass.
There is green, weedy stuff, but no tasty grass!
Dang!
I went inside and lay on this cozy bankie.
Mum said I looked like a black pillow.
Really mum?!!!!
I might forgive you if you offer up a treat or three.
I got lucky and got a treat...and scritches and brushings!
You know what? I am a happy cat!!
The brushings...now they are FUN!!!
They feel good too!

Early season grass is not paw worthy
That's the down side of having four seasons... the grass thing.

I didn't get my brushies yesterday! I am going to be much more insistent and get lots of them today. I got combed and that's nice but brushies are where it's at.

I just got my brushies from mom yesterday after she trimmed my talons. And then of course, I get treats for being so well behaved. Sort of. Our grass 'round here is full, lush and green, and growing like crazy with all the rain and sun we've been getting.

Our grass is now only starting to get quite green. And the seeded areas are sprouting green now too! Good thin you are far away, Julie, else you might try to nosh on those tender new shoots.
If you are a pillow at least you are a beautiful one...and its way better than being called a footstool! Petcretary said that to Dalton...
