Snowflurries and Ducks!

Julie: Mum, do you have that phone camera
pointed at me again?
Yes Julie, I need pictures for your blog
Oh...OK then.

Well! Guess what I just saw out the kitchen window!

Ducks!
Mum had to be sneaky to take the pic,
so it is not a good one.
They come because she puts out seeds!
Usually it is in the morning, but these two
came in the afternoon.

They come up the stairs from the river nearby.

Those silly birds must like getting exercise.
If mum let me out, I could give them exercise
by chasing them!
Naturally she won't let me out!

There is good news though. Mum says the temps
are above freezing all week so  maybe the snow will
melt! Overnight temps are still cold, but I have my paws
crossed. I am SO looking forward to seeing green grass!!
I am really looking forward to eating some nice
tender blades of sweet grass.
I do hope this white stuff goes away soon!

Oh look! Sunshine    oops, gone again!!!!!!!!

Hi Julie, you look great!

I love the duck prints, they're cute. And oh, yes, I wish spring would soon arrive here too, though apparently we have more snow coming Monday and Tuesday. Seriously?!

Take care and have a lovely, cosy weekend!

We are voracious consumers of your loveliness, Julie!
Those duck prints in the snow are adorable; I'd wear a scarf in white and blue with those prints all over it.
(Now searching the interwebs for such an item...)

Petcretary carries her phone just about everywhere...but still forgets to use t...but of course we don't mind, BOL!

While there are plenty of ducks and geese around here, they do not come intto our yard...butt we do have a lot of other birds and squirrels!

Nice that you captured the duck feet...we sometimes see turkey footprints in the snow when we go for a walk...and deer prints, we have to smell them thoroughly!

Wait, squirrels?? Bye! Zoooooommmmm!

Oh lots of good photos and our Mom used to have that same floor tile! It's like seeing a flashback friday! MOL! We love ducks they are so fun to watch. Don't worry, that snow will be gone soon and there will be plenty of water in the ground to keep the flowers and grass reeeeely green :-) XO Tommy and Teaghan

We are curious. What kinds of seeds are big enough that the ducks can find? We mean they are pretty big...

Looks like a bright and sunny day, we just checked our outdoor thermometer and it is about 7C in the shade. We think that will encourage the snowbanks to disappear very soon. We have lots of mourning doves at our feeder and bluejays under the feeder. Lots of purrs from Angel Mindy and Mombean.
