Finally Friday

Georgia: I am glad it is Friday. This week was a bit cool and
mum says that it will be warmer this weekend and next week.
It's about time as it is the end of April.
However, mum says Saturday might have a little rain with it.
Oh well, as long as mum is home and I can get lots of scritches
I'll be happy.

JJ: I am happy it's Friday too.
I love to snooze and the porch is comfy as long as it is warm.
Mind you, I can sleep almost anywhere.
I also sleep better when mum is around.

Julie: I am looking forward to porch time!!
I hope it is warm and sunny as mum comes on the porch to read.
When she does, I like to sleep in her lap.
I  curl up in her lap anywhere she decides to read ,
but the porch is most fun.

One evening when mum was coming home from work,
she heard a noise that startled her.
This is what she saw!

The deer was also startled and ran back in these woods.
Mum went indoors and looked out the kitchen window.
Sure enough, the deer came back.

Here he is running across the driveway.

Turns out there were two deer!

They ran across the road  into these woods and up the hill.
Mum has lived here for about 10 years and this is only the
3rd time she  has seen deer and all of these times have been
in the past 2 years.
They are bigger than us so we are glad they are outdoors!

Well, time to get this weekend started!
We purr you all have FUN
no matter what you do this weekend!

We don't see deer too close to our house, but my human has seen them while she has been out on walks not too far from us! We actually live near a nature corridor.

My brother complains that the deer eat all of his hostas and flowers. We live not too far from a nature preserve and a river, but in the 20-something years here, there's only been one deer sighted as it walked down the alley. Where it was going to or how it got there in the first place is a mystery!

the boyz have never seen a deer (that i know of). we have a wooded area about half mile down the road where occasionally i'll see a deer. about half mile further down the road is a zoo. i've often thought it would be exciting for the boyz if a gorilla or an elephant escaped and camped out in our backyard...

Great photos of the deers! We have deers come around from time to time, too. But sadly, there are lot of construction going on around here so they may not come back as often as they used to.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

I hope you have a nice warm weekend. We get vishus deer here too. My dad gets annoyed because they jump over the electric fence and knock it down, then the horses get out of their fields.

Oh deer! (Ha ha ha!) That's quite a sighting, kids! We've never seen deer, although Mom's seen evidence of them way up in the foothills where she's hiked.

Georgia, you look beautiful today!

How exciting that you were able to see two deer.
Sounds like you have a great weekend ahead: mom home to give you attention, sunshine (even if there is a little rain), and warm weather.

My goodness, it is so exciting when we see those, isn't it? Here it is just caked up with them because we live on the edge of a great woods.

What fun to see the deer. We have some that come eat the peaches off of our Peach tree which is fine since the peaches are all hard. You all are looking mighty comfy.Have a good Sunday.

There are lots of deer around here.
Pawppy complains there are too many, and our county is reputed to have the most deer/vehicle encounters:(

Before we had a fence around our yard, one time there were five deer all at the back kitchen window looking in! OMC! That was when our now angel kitties were living here and we were not even born yet...

Petcretary often has to dodge them on her way home from work in the late evenings.

How wonderful your Mom saw the deer. Lucky for you they do stay outside! We lived in Nova Scotia too years ago and we were lucky occasionally to see them in our backyard.
