Saying Goodbye to Tiger

Georgia: Once again, sadness has come to our home.
Our big sister Tiger has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.

Tiger was 17 years old and was showing her age. She slept more
and did not always want to eat. Mom took her to the Vet
Thursday evening and she stayed there. The Vet gave her
fluids and medicine. She also did blood tests that showed
Tiger was not doing well. Mom left her there to see if
she could rebound. She did for a bit, but it did not last.
Rather than have her alone at the Emergency Hospital,
Mom brought Tiger home Saturday afternoon and looked after
her. She was restless and did not want to eat. Mom set her
up on her heating pad and she slept.Every time she woke,
Mom gave her a pat  and told her she was a good kitty
and that she loved her.
Around 3:30 AM, Tiger's breathing slowed and she passed
gently away.

Mickey and Tillie were there to welcome Tiger to the

Julie is also doing her memorial post at
House Panthers. Pop over to see.

We are so sorry to hear that your dear Tiger has died. Tiger was such a sweet girl with her beautiful black coat with the unique brush strokes of color. Tiger had a wonderful life with you & the other kitties. Even when our companions live well into old age, you are never prepared to be seperated when their time to cross the bridge arrives. We know it is especially hard on you so soon after losing Tillie.
Tiger had a wonderful life with you & the other kitties. I'm sure she was relieved when you brought her home from the vets. Home where she was comfortable & felt loved. I'm sure Micky & Tillie were waiting to greet Tiger when she crossed the Bridge. Now Tiger is with Tillie & Mickey and free from the limitations of illness & advanced age. We will keep you all in our prayers.

We cannot on any level even say we begin to understand the depth of your sorrow considering your deep sense of loss still for your beloved Tillie and now Tiger has joined her and Mickey at the RB.My heart aches for you knowing the sadness you already feel is now compounded by Tiger's passing. I know some might say 17 is a long life but there is never enough, only 17 years of love shared and given. I know that Tiger, Tillie and Mickey are in a good safe place and that they are young, healthy and free to do all the things that they once did in their youth. The love you have is always there and will always remain. I am so terribly sorry for your loss and I wish that I could offer you some magical potion that would take away the pain and sorrow. You are in my heart and thoughts as is your beloved Tiger.

"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan." ~Irving Townsend.

Poor little Tiger, but the blessing here is that she passed on in the comfort of her home, what she loved best, and with your caring words and presence.

Not all kitties leave this world in such peace and calm, surrounded with love.

May your memories comfort you at this time of grief.

Hello there from me, Tiny...the queen of our household at 19 years...though Tiger was a bit younger than me, she has gone before me, but know that when my day comes - who knows when that will be because for the moment I am fine - I will tell her that you love her and miss her, but surely she already knows that!! I, too, am slower and don't always move without some pain, but I am still able to enjoy life a bit despite the two youngin's (Elioth and Chouchou) harrassing me...ok, well, they don't harass me, they just don't understand that I don't want to play. But I can say this, to be at home and take one's last breath is RICH!! I hope that the day I take my last breath I will also be at home...comfortable in one of the many beds around the house (perhaps I'll be in one of the dogs' beds - haha!!). Tiger had that beaautiful luxury and I'm sure she thanks you for it. Don't worry, she is not gone in spirit; just body. Yeah, she is with Mickey and Tillie now and they are all three sitting with you wherever you are...purring...you just can't hear them, but if you try really hard, I bet you can...almost!! We all send you lots of purrs, headbutts and a few licks and tailwags (from Da Dawgs). All of us over at WeezDaBadCats and DaMeenDawgs. P.S. on Wednesday, it will be exactly 2 years since Lolo passed over the Rainbow Bridge and Mom still misses him horribly so she can relate to how you must feel about Tiger 'leaving' you. Tiger was a beautiful, beautiful girl and will always be in your heart. xxx

...... and Tiger saw there was no pain, suffering, fear, sickness, hunger, thirst or sorrow, until she looked down and saw the family and friends she had left behind. ......and for a very brief moment, the little cat too, was filled with sorrow.

Then St Francis bestowed Tiger  with a set of gossamer wings and said, "Use them to return to your family, when their need is the greatest, as nothing can separate your bond of love.  Hold each other in your hearts and your memories, until you are reunited again at heaven's door."
