Holidays Are Over and It's a New Year!

Georgia: Well, the celebrations are over and mum went
back to work. She had yesterday off.
While I miss not having her around, I have the next
best thing. The heater!
I love laying on this vent and having all that warm
air blow up into my body!
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

JJ: Gee Georgia, maybe I should try that.
However, I like sleeping on my blanket pile by the old fireplace.
Too bad the fireplace does not work, but even if it did,
mum would not have it on when she is away.

Do you remember on Friday we said mum went to work
in rain and high wind?
Well, she found out  the next day when it was sunny that
a big part of a tree broke during the storm.
It is dark when mum gets home so she did not notice
the damage immediately.
Here is the tree before it broke.

Here is the tree after it broke!

Part of the  big branch fell on top of mum's rhodies.
Fortunately, the smaller one had the most damage.
Mum did not mind so much as that rhodie was
 not thriving very well.
It did make her a bit nervous about all the big,old trees
near the house.

Our Julie was glad it was sunny yesterday
as she was on the porch.

She had company. To see who pop over to

We are sorry to hear about that tree breaking, and the poor rhodie getting damaged. We are glad you are all okay, though. We like the heater air thing, too!

Wow! That was a big break!

We don't have any blowy heat. It looks nice. But of course we have our radiators to lie on.

The heater looks like a great place for a snooze.

I would love a snooze on the heater. Unfortunately all our vents are in the ceiling! How silly is that?!

Too bad about the tree... we have a huge one right in front of our house. I always worry when we have windy storms.

All of the birdies in the remaining tree branches...as if they are holding a memorial for the rest of the tree!

Yikes, that tree coming down is scary! Mudpie's favorite places during this weather is by the furnace vent and cuddled under her blankies!

Georgia, we think you have the best spot in the house!

Eeeek! Ever since that tree at our old house lost a big branch that crushed our mom's car, she's always nervous about trees in high winds and bad weather. Thank Cod no one and nothing got hurt at your place!

Georgia, you have the very best place in the house!

Heatwrs are good; that's why we love the waterybed. It is warm anywhere.

Sad about the falled tree. TBT had one next to the house removed for that reason. After one fell on the tool shed and crushed part of it, he worried about the house.

We love our furnace vents, too. What a whump that tree falling ovfur must have made. Good thing it didn't fall on the house.
We had a huge old maple taken down because we thought it was fixing to crash on the house. But we did loose a lot of nice shade in the summer time that way.
