Finally Friday with Julie and Critters

Julie: Hi friends.
Are you ready for the weekend?
I am always ready and  this week, mum is really ready.
She said it was a long week.
I thought weeks were all the same length.
Oh well, let's not try to understand humans!
I am just happy to be looking forward to porch time.

It will be nice and sunny and not quite as hot as it has been.
I will continue to enjoy this couch and relax.
My siblings will no doubt join me.

We saw some interesting critters lately.
Some are scary to humans, so be warned!

Mum was out a while ago and saw Sammy Seagull.
He was looking for food.  Some person tossed him a morsel
and he caught it.
I bet he has plenty of practise.

Mum found this Garden Snake  in the house.
I did NOT let it in. It got in all by itself.

Mum used  a grabber to put it in the pail then took him
outside and let him go.
I never even got to play with him.

This fellow got in the house too.
Mum was not impressed at all!
This is a Fishing or Wharf Spider.
They are similar to Wolf Spiders.
It may not look like it, but this fellow was not full grown.
The piece of wood is about 4.5 cm (1 3/4 inches).

It was pretty funny watching mum try to use the broom
to get him in the pail. Eventually she prevailed
after he ran into the bathroom.

A hot week, critters in the house and busy times for mum.
Yup, we are all ready for the weekend and for some
FUN !

We purr you have FUN too !

You have had some interesting critter visitors! My human loves snakes, but the main ones here are rattlers, and even she doesn't want them around our house! Sometimes we get black widows outside (that happens a lot in our neighborhood of vintage homes), and they are the only spiders that my human will kill. That's for our protection - a black widow bite will kill a kitty.

We don't seem to get snakes here, but we do get a lotta lizards.

Haha, it seems somehow humans have weeks with different length :-)
Sammy Seagull is very cute! However other two are quite scary! It's good not to play with them :-) We hope you all have a super fun weekend!

Now Julie, you are not to play with those visitors. They play rough sometimes, Especially George the Spider. I saw a Blue Tailed Skink yesterday while I was looking out of the storm door!

Yikes. I'm glad our house has much much smaller critters to deal with...

That's all Mom can say. We had a snake once and it nearly gave Mom a heart attack. We hope you all have a great weekend.

The woman would have died right then and there if she saw that spider! She is phobic of spiders.

Wow, Julie...what a cast of characters! That spider would give me nightmares, but snakes and birds don't bother me a bit.

Eeek on the spider! Flynn used to bring snakes to me as a present. I used to tell him he was a clever boy even though I felt like running a mile.

Your mom is wonderful and brave for not hurting them and helping them outside! The snake has beautiful markings!

Those are some fun critters, though the mom kinda freaked when she saw that spider. We hope you all have a great weekend.

Those are some awesome critters you gotta deal with. Dad was bitching something about it being a long week here, too. This was his first week back after vacation and they want to be back where they spent last week. It's wicked hot here (can you tell dad's from New England?)and dad's on call for stubborn air conditioners, so I'm thinking he'll be busy. Enjoy your weekend!

Julie, we don't like the idea of a snake in the house. We bet your mom was not thrilled either! As for the spider, he looks pretty scary too, but our mom would have done the trap and release thing for both like your mom did. Speaking of our mom, she would so give that belleh a rub!

Those are some interesting critters ! Claire would better have a snake than a big spider in the house, isn't she crazy ? Have a pawsome weekend ! Purrs

You all sure have had lots of different visitors. Glad they all got to go back outside. You all have a great week end.

Oh my Cod that spider would have given me heart failure. Your mom sure is brave to wrangle those critters!

Wow, Julie1 You had a spider AND a snake in the house? That must have been fun (for you, but probably not for your mum)!

We hope you're getting lots of porch time this weekend!

Hugs!

We prefer the critters that slither and have more legs than we do stay outside!

Happy weekend to you all!

And hope the next week feels shorter for your Mum, MOL!

That looks to be an interesting young snake. We have lots of different snakes around here, blue and black racers, little brown snakes, garter snakes, etc. They are fascinating creatures. The only poisonous snake in Michigan is uncommon...and we have not evfur seen one around here.

Spiders...um...nope! just a big EEK!
