Finally Friday with Julie and Critters

Julie: Hi friends.

Are you ready for the weekend?

I am always ready and  this week, mum is really ready.

She said it was a long week.

I thought weeks were all the same length.

Oh well, let's not try to understand humans!

I am just happy to be looking forward to porch time.

It will be nice and sunny and not quite as hot as it has been.

I will continue to enjoy this couch and relax.

My siblings will no doubt join me.

We saw some interesting critters lately.

Some are scary to humans, so be warned!

Mum was out a while ago and saw Sammy Seagull.

He was looking for food.  Some person tossed him a morsel

and he caught it.

I bet he has plenty of practise.

Mum found this Garden Snake  in the house.

I did NOT let it in. It got in all by itself.

Mum used  a grabber to put it in the pail then took him

outside and let him go.

I never even got to play with him.

This fellow got in the house too.
Mum was not impressed at all!

This is a Fishing or Wharf Spider.

They are similar to Wolf Spiders.

It may not look like it, but this fellow was not full grown.

The piece of wood is about 4.5 cm (1 3/4 inches).

It was pretty funny watching mum try to use the broom

to get him in the pail. Eventually she prevailed

after he ran into the bathroom.

A hot week, critters in the house and busy times for mum.

Yup, we are all ready for the weekend and for some

FUN !

We purr you have FUN too !

Finally Friday and It's the 13!

Georgia:  It's Friday ! That means extra mum days.

Why are you looking at me like that mum?

No, I am not scratching the chair...much.

JJ: Mum says we might see rain this weekend.

That's OK, I won't get wet on this porch.

Treasure: It doesn't have to be Friday the 13 for

me to be nervous.

I'm like that all the time.

Well, maybe not when mum gives me scritches.

Julie: I like Friday the 13.

Some people think I am bad luck because of my

black furs! I think that is silly.

Mum says I am cute and very lovable!

I also like to stand on my tail.

These are my eyes.

Are you scared?

How about now?

Yup, BIG spider season is here again!

Mum is not impressed. She is not a fan of spiders,

especially ones that are this big!

It is a Fishing spider, or wharf spider

Mum wishes it would fish anywhere else!

We purr you all have a FUN Friday the 13

 and a FUN  weekend !

Friday Close Ups

<

Today we have our pawsome close ups and...

a very,very scary close up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will start with the pawsome ones! Us!!

Georgia

Tillie(window gazing)

Mickey(with leopard)

The other morning Mom got up and went to the kitchen.

She was filling the kettle and looked up at the kitchen window.

She about dropped the kettle!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is why.

Mom

hates

spiders!!

Especially BIG ones

WARNING!!

BIG SPIDER PIC !!!!!!!!

Did that give ya goosebumps????????

Mancat Looking After Mom

On this Mancat Monday I am looking after Mom.
Her nerves are shot!! Heehee
It has to do with those monster spiders again!!!!!

These pictures are not clear.
Mom should have used a flash,
and she did not want to get too close!!!!!
She came across a Wolf Spider moulting!!
That means it will get BIGGER!!!!!!!

After a while, the spider drew it's legs close to it's body.

Silly Mom blew on it and it moved super fast
scaring her to death!!!!!!!
It ran behind the deck post!!!!!!!

Now there is a BIGGER spider on the back deck!
She may never go out there again!! Hahahahahaha!!!!
Well, not without a big stick or a brave Mancat!!!!!

Look at that leg!!
It's coming for ya Mom!!
Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

When the spider discarded it's shell,Mom used tweezers to get it.
It still looks scary to her !!!!!!!!!!!

This is why I am looking after Mom !

The Return of Mom's Terror

Tillie: Guess what friends??? The BIG spider is back!!!

Well, him or one of his kin, and Mom is scared!!

She does not like spiders, especially BIG ones.

The downside of living just outside the city.

Purrsonaly, I like bugs.They're tasty,heehee

Mom noticed the spider on the outdoor lamp.

No wonder he likes it there, the light attracts bugs.

They even get inside the light! They must be vacuumed out.

You can see them by the blue arrow.

Mom recommends downward hanging lights,not

upward ones like we have.

I bet that spider is toasty warm too!!

Just waiting for dinner.

Wolf spiders hunt their dinner, they do not have webs.

This guy must have had a fight,he is missing a leg.

You can see where it should be ,from the arrow.

I don't think it slows him down any!!

Now,Mom wants him to go far away!!!!!!!!

Tuesday Stuff

Today is sunny and I am happy about that!! Sun is warm .

Georgia likes laying on her table. She is showing off her belly.

These are her toes.

I think she just used the litter box, heehee!

I am on the porch sitting in the sun.

Oh boy ,does it feel good too !!!

We have an ongoing battle with Mom over the windows!!!

She does not clean them often enough. She says we muck them up too fast!

So what about the outside Mom? We don't muck that side up!
Tillie shows what we have to put up with!

Mom here: OK, so I don't scrub the windows every single day!!
I am cleaning up after you guys.
As for the outside, well you have to wait for it to get a bit colder!!!!
You know I hate spiders, and they are all big and fat right now!
They are also on the windows! When it's cold enough for long pants & shirts,
I'll clean them,before Winter.

I mean, look!!! Who would want to go near this?!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a Tunnel spider!!!!!!!!!
He is outside but I won't go near him.

Well, we can get the spiders for you Mom!!!

Let you three outside? Not likely!!!!!

Mom has also been slack about posting all of our awards!!
See,look at all we have received!!

We thank all of these cool cats who were so kind as to give them to us!!
Parker , Pyewacket , Samantha & Tigger , Tesla , The Island Cats ,

Black Cat , Castle , William , Huffle , Goldie & Shade .

We also got this from Chica & Pumuckl. I guess we talk a lot, heehee
