Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: We have proof that JJ and I are good drinkers.
We love our water.Right now, JJ is having his drink.

Now it is my turn.
JJ is pretty good about sharing.

This past Sunday was Remembrance Day.
Mum said it was the 100th anniversary of the end of
World War 1.
Every November 11 there is a Remembrance Day
service held in communities across Canada.
This one is in our community.

The veterans,Canadian forces,police,cadets and
other groups all attend.

Marching in.
Mum said it was well attended.
Mum said the when WW! ended, church bells rang
throughout Europe in celebration.

Julie was happy this weekend too.
she has a few more pictures to share with you.

How nice that you two share your water. Around here, we don’t share that nicely. Happy Remembrance Day!

I'm glad you are so good about sharing. We are too... but our fountain is HUGE, so it is easy! Happy Remembrance Day!

Happy Remembrance Day dear furriends and to your Mommy too. By the way, Mom said she loves seeing the Mounties! They are so handsome in their uniforms and so official looking.

Hi guys and happy Monday. We don't need to share our water because one of us drinks from the fountain (Nicki) and one of us prefers a static bowl (Derry). That makes it easy!

We're glad the Remembrance Day ceremony was well-intended. It's crucial not to forget the sacrifices of so very many men and women--and non-humans too. So many horses and now dogs, have died in duty, they ought not to be forgotten either.

Purrs to you all for a good week!

Georgia and JJ, you are so sweet sharing the water! Here, there will be whapping war if our boys come to drink at the same time.

WWI was called, "The Great War", and it was an ugly, bloody struggle. We obviously didn't learn a thing from it, because WWII started not too terribly long after. Let's hope the lesson has sunk in NOW and forever. We honour our veterans.

There were many ceremonies and events in the UK too for Remembrance Day to remember the 100 years anniversary of the Armistice this year.
It is good you both drink well.

That looks like a very nice commemoration. There was a parade here but we didn't get to go because we are "too little." :-(

It's good that your Remembrance Day activities were well attended. Unfortunately, some of our local Memorial Day activities had to be canceled because of the fires here and the seriously unhealthy levels of smoke in the air.
