Julie: One thing about Winter is that the air is dry.
That makes it important to drink lots of water!
We had some light fluffy snow on Friday.
On Saturday morning the sun was shining and mum
took this picture from the kitchen..
Looking out the kitchen window, 90 degrees
from the other window, this is the view.
The footprints in the snow were made by mum
last night.
Mum went out to shovel and cleared a path to the
bird feeders. The snow was light and fluffy(powder)
So it was easy to move.
Our windows are old, so we get frost in them.
The morning sun made the frost sparkle!
Mum asked if I wanted to go out in that
cold snow. Can you tell that I said NO!
I'm not quite ready to test out that snow because mum
said it was cold outdoors.
For now, I am happy to be an indoor cat!

That snow is like on a Christmas card!
Glad you did not have to walk trough that, Julie! Brrr! The frosted window is beautiful! Jack Frost is quite the artist!
Our windows used to be like that, too, but now we have newer windows and they don't get all artified like yours anymore.
(We had all single pane, single hung, wooden windows with lots of ill fitting sashes that were way too drafty. Our house was built in 1907...and those were the original windows, some of the glass had even sunk,(flowed), so that looking through them was quite distorted!)
The frost looks awesome! Going outside in frosty weather... yeah, not so much!
Brrr, that looks cold!
The frost on the window looks so pretty. It is nice to have the choice whether to go in or out, and you made the right choice.
It looks very pretty outside, Julie, with that fresh snow. The best part is that it won't last long! :-D
Take care and stay warm and cosy!
Your snow scenes sure are pretty but warm paws is the best choice sweet Julie!
we got a similar storm in our parts... it was the first snowstorm that alias didn't stare outside the window thinking the sky was falling...

Your snow is very pretty. Ours came and went within hours!

Tama and Genji
Snow is pretty if all you have to do is look at it. ;)
Julie, please don't be in a hurry...you'll get outside soon enough!
Bitter cold is no fun, believe me!
We LOVE your view! You are one smart cat! We got our first snow a couple of months ago, but it did not get really cold until last week. We have been hanging out inside (mostly). Have a marvellously Happy Day!
You are a wise kitty to stay inside where it is warm. XO
What a pretty sight! Be glad you're not in it, though!
If'n you've got some mittens and booties you can venture out, otherwise, you're a smart girl to stay indoors and just enjoy the view!
Stay home and enjoy the warmth and plan your next outing. Keep yourself dry and warm and wait for your mamma.
Julie you have the right idea. I went out in the cat yard to explore this "snow" and took five steps and turned around. I would have taken less but I had to turn around. Indoors is nice and warm
The snow is beautiful. I think you're wise to stay inside where it's warm.
We had some light fluffy snow today, too, Julie. You are smart to not want to go outside. We bet it is cold on the toesies! Hugs to you and Mum!
Beautiful photos! Yes, water is very important this time of year!
