Monday Musings

Georgia:Sometimes I like to wander around the house.
Mum thinks  I sleep too much. Hey, I'm a cat!
It's what we do. Besides, she is not home all day.

Mum, if you have anything tasty I may decide to eat it.
I promise I will at least consider eating it.
Mum thinks I am too skinny.
We try.

Julie: Unlike Georgia I love food!

Mum, what do you mean by "that's an understatement"?

Baby Groundhog: Gee!! I get the feeling some is watching me!

The fuzzy at the bottom is window frame.
These critters are super nervous.

Critters We Have Seen in Our Yard

These two deer  were enjoying eating grass and weeds.
Julie thought they were huge and was glad
she was inside.

This deer was in the woods across our road
at the end of the driveway.

These are baby groundhogs.
As you can see, they blend in well with
their surroundings!

Mum's sister managed to get this pawsome
shot on a baby at the fence.

Mum was not happy to see this big
fishing spider .
At least it was on the outside!!!

Mum saw this big bird on Friday as she
was putting out birdseed.

This morning, she saw some of these birds!
There were at least 4 of them  in the trees around the yard!

Mum got this picture of the birds flying over the
lake that is down the hill and  across the main road .
She was surprised at how many there were .
She got a picture of 6 but there were more!
Any idea of what kind of bird it is?
Mum thinks it might be a turkey vulture.

Since it is our blog, we need to make an appearance.

Julie did not want to pose.

Little sister is a diva at times. MOL!!

Monday Musings with Georgia and Julie

Georgia: Sunday, we had some sun and it was pretty nice
on the porch. Good thing we got to enjoy it
because the rest of the week is going to be rainy!
Dang!

I jumped from tha couch to the window ledge.
Mum was too slow to catch me in action.

I may be 16, but I can still be fast and jump quickly!
MOL!!!

Julie: Mum, why do you have to take pictures
when I'm trying to sleep?
Mum: Because your fans like to see you.

Fans?!
Oh...um   Hi there ! Nice to see you.
I am enjoying the warm sun on the porch.
It really feels good. Great for snoozing too!

Remembrance Day 2019

On this day we remember and give thanks
to all who have served  our country in the many conflicts
around the globe. We honour their sacrifice.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
We will remember them.
