Mama Crow Gathers Nesting Materials

Julie: Earlier in the month there were crows
in the yard. There was also a Mama crow.

As you can see, she was gathering nesting
materials, namely old grass.

That is quite a beakful Mama!!!

Away she goes!

Off to build her nest and welcome the babies.

Have you ever seen a baby crow?
                                                                              We have not.

Cats and Critters

Julie: I have some interesting views from this kitchen
window. In addition to watching for mum to come
home, I also see critters!

We get a lot of birds visiting as mum puts out seed.
These crows stopped by for some eats.
Mum says crows are cool.
I think they are big but not as big as the ducks.

This deer came around again.
Now that things are starting to get green there are
more choices and grass to nibble on.

These ducks are becoming regulars
Pretty soon they will be bring their
ducklings over here. That will be exciting as
baby ducks are cute.
Even though I am a cat I still like to look(since I am not
allowed out to chase  play with them ;)

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: Hello friends. As you can see, I am having
a meal. Mum often gives me s bit of wet food with
my laxative in it. Then  I get crunchies.

I actually like my crunchies better than the wet
most days. Mum says I am a fussy eater.

JJ, the oldest , has a great appetite.
He simply likes food!

Julie likes food too, but she likes treats better.

Asking for more!

Mum is not granting her wish!

I think Julie may have said a naughty word !

On Saturday mum went to our Vet's place.
They were having their annual open house.
We did not go,whew!
Mum got lots of information from other groups
that were there Emergency Hospital ( for after hour visits)
a dog rescue next door to the vet.
Mum said there were newborn puppies there and they
were very cute!
No, she is not getting one.
She did bring home some treats from the Vet though.

Sunday morning mum looked out the kitchen window
and this is what she saw!

She hopes that part of the rhyme is true ;)
MOL!

Finally Friday

Georgia: We have had a pretty good week here because
Mom did not chase us around with that flashy box!
It has been a messy week with some freezing rain,
snow and rain and we are having rain this evening!
Mom says we should have sun this weekend
 and temperatures around 7 C !!!
That is almost a heat wave compared to what we have had.
It means more porch time!

Julie and JJ  were talking last Saturday about what to do.

They decided to window gaze.
JJ took this window,

and saw these crows down the hill.
They were in our yard, but Mom scared them with her camera.

Julie took the other window in the kitchen.

She looked out on the driveway side of the house.

She saw these three Mourning doves sitting on a railing.
See how puffed up they are?
It was pretty cold last Saturday.

We hope to see some neat things this weekend if the
sun does come  out!
We purr you all have a fun weekend too !
