Friday Thoughts

Julie: We have had some interesting weather.

Sun,heat and then snow!

Then the snow changed  to freezing rain 

to rain Thursday night. 

We have sun again today.

During the week when Mum went for her walk,

she saw this seagull. It was on top of a telephone pole. 

Sammy or Samantha was just relaxing

I must say, sunshine is much nicer than snow.

Snow and rain are cold.

I also look forward to my daily brushing.

That is so satisfying. It feels really good on my body.

I must say, I do like being a pampered  cat.

I also like mum being around all the time too!

OK Mum! Grab that brush and stroke my furs!!!

Did I mention that I am a happy cat?

No freezing rain ,just more snow

Julie: Well, we did not get any freezing rain.

We did get more snow last night.

The birds were happy, especially since Mum

put out seeds.

Then the sun came out!

We all like the sun.

Most of all, I like getting brushed!

OK Mum, start brushing please!!!!!

 

Snow, drama and Sunshine!!!

Julie: Friends, what a week!

Mum was supposed to get an oil delivery

last Friday but was unable to get any.

Our road was getting a load of rock .

The road we are on is a private road so maintenance

is not done by the city. 

While we are the 1st house, the truck could not get up the road

so we did not get our oil!

We had about a quarter of a tank. The office said they would 

come back on Thursday.

Mum asked if that would last and they said it should.

Mum crossed her fingers.

This is the snow we got Tuesday  !

No wonder Mum was worried!

She got out and started to shovel the snow.

The ducks came!

They enjoyed the seeds!

Mum shovelled  snow again while I was  at the Vet on

 Wednesday  and it was fairly warm.

Snow started melting!
Then, the oil man showed up and we got oil!

Thursday was sunny and warm!

                                   The ducks really enjoyed the seeds with the melting snow !

 Nothing beats dining in the Winter sunshine!!!

Dining in the sunshine is such FUN!

                                                        Guess what is happening tonight?

                                                           We have a freezing rain warning!

                                                            At least we are warm and cozy!

Snow and a Month that Celebrates Black Furs!

Julie: Guess what?

 WE got some snow that  did not get washed away by rain.

Mum said it is light and fluffy.

I think it is cold.

I am glad to be an indoor cat!!!

Just hanging out, waiting for Spring!

Julie:  Oops! You caught me cleaning my nose!

There, this is a bit better and less rude...MOL!

Just hanging out, As you can see, the furs on my

left let are growing back. I went into the Vet

on Thursday for a blood test and it was good. 

My next chemo is Jan 18.

I am going to make sure mum spoils me lots

this week! I don't think I will have to try too

hard though! MOL!

We have been having fun just hanging out.

 We finally got some snow that stayed!

It was about 6cm(3in~)

With rain forecast for tomorrow, the snow may not last.

I don't mind since there is no grass, I do not want to do out!

I will stay inside where it is warm and make sure I get

plenty of belly rubs and brushings!

I like having mum around to hang out with me! 

With about 70 days to Spring, that means a lot of belly rubs!!!

MOL!!

How is your Monday going?

Snowy Weekend!

Julie: Well, we had our snowstorm on Friday.

Mum was happy that she took a few vacation days

and was home during the storm.

We were lucky as we did not get too much snow.

It was light and fluffy. Nor did we lose power.

Mum had two siblings that lost power.

Both of them live  quite a ways from us.

They also got more snow.

They were without power for 

One sister got her power back Saturday night!

Her brother(who lives farthest away) got his power

back by lunchtime on Sunday!!

He was OK as he has a generator.

The ducks did not seem to mind the snow.

They really like the seeds mum puts out.

Sunday, we got rain!

Monday is a bit better with some sunshine.

and not too cold.

Good thing as Tuesday is supposed to be really cold!

The temps will go up some for the rest of the week.

Wild Weather Weekend!

Julie: Guess what? Saturday night we had a big

thunder and lightning show! It rained pretty hard too.

the rain lasted so long (overnight) that it took away all the 

snow!

How about that?

Mum thought it was OK and I bet the birds that come 

to the feeders liked it too.

I don't think anything would keep Earl the Squirrel away 

from the seeds though. Critters still

have to eat...right?

When we had the big snow, I showed you a 

picture of a "snow bird"  on the railing of the back deck.

It was on Friday's post.

fabulous arty picture!!!

It's really cool right?!!

Mum and I really like it too!

 This week will be sun, some rain near the end of the week

 and Saturday...flurries.

It's that time of year when the weather is cooling off

and  winter is coming.

 For now, we will enjoy as many snow free days as 

we can get!!!

Monday with Julie and JJ

Julie: Well, we made it through the better part of 

Christmas without snow. In fact it was even warm.

Sunday though was another matter.

It snowed!

Earl did not mind because Mom put out some seeds.

He was happily eating them too.

We got a really cool present for Christmas!

Pictures of the Big Snow Storm

Julie: On Monday we showed you pictures of our yard

 before the big snowstorm.

 This is what our yard looked like after the snow.

We got about 15 cm( about 5-6 inches)

In spite of the storm, the mourning doves came and 

spent some time sitting in the tree!

Mom did keep putting out food for the birds during

the storm.

The ducks also discovered that there was food

at our place!

Even Earl managed to get a good feed even if he had to 

dig in the snow for them.

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: Mmmmmmm, wiffies! How delicious.

We had sun all weekend and it was nice.

The air was fresh and I just had to check it out.

Nice Spring smells.

Oh I am looking forward to the warmer weather so much.

Mom says enjoy it while it lasts.

I don't like the sound of that.

JJ enjoyed the sun in the kitchen.

Then he enjoyed the sun on the porch with Treasure.

Saturday night, we had snow!

Mom says this was just a dusting.

She says we will be getting LOTS of snow on Wednesday!

I thought this was Spring. Sheesh !

Julie had fun on the porch too.

Monday Fun with Georgia

Oh boy!! I like to play with these sheets Mom sometimes puts 

on the chairs. I like when I can hide underneath them.

Mom finds it funny. I like it as a place to hide.

Darn, the sheet is not hanging down enough for me to get under!

Oh well, it's OK. I can see what's going on.

I can always hide another time.

Do you know what else happened this past weekend?

We got snow!!!

This is Earl yesterday afternoon. By then the sun came out 

and melted a lot of the snow. He was glad as he could get the seeds 

Mom put out. He is always fun to watch!!
