Finally Friday

Georgia: Happy Friday friends !! This is an older picture of me
taken when we had sunshine. We did see some on Sunday
then the sun went into hiding. While it was sunny, Mom saw some
interesting things that I will share.

Mom was at her sister's place and saw this cute fellow in Aunty's
garden. This is a chipmunk, and he was keeping an eye on Mom!

Then, they went to the boardwalk on Halifax Harbour.
They saw this fishing boat and wondered what he was doing.
It appeared he was looking for something, perhaps a trap fell in the
water .They did not pull anything up and soon went on their way.
Halifax Harbour is an active shipping lane,
so no fishing is done in the harbour.

Further down the boardwalk, Mom and Auntie spotted these
crazy lights! They thought they were cool !

While they were off doing the exploring thing, we were doing the
snoozing thing!! Here are 5 of us .

Tillie likes to snooze by herself unless Mom is around.

It appears we will have more rain for the weekend, so we will be
doing lots of snoozing and snuggling with Mom.
We hope you all have a fun weekend and are lucky
enough to have sunshine !!

While taking the ferry across Halifax harbour
on Wednesday,I saw the rig Chemul preparing
to leave port after a major refit. Due to some
paperwork, the rig did not leave until Thursday.
It is headed to the Gulf of Mexico

The oil rig Rowan Gorilla III is also
preparing to  leave port. It is also
headed to the Gulf of Mexico.
There is always something going on

 Have a great weekend!!!!!!!!

Sorta Wordy Wednesday

SO!!! Today is Mom's day off and what does she do??
She decided to play tourist. That's OK though.
She played with us before she left.
Tomorrow I will show you some of what Mom saw.

Here is a hint.

This is the other side of the sign.

Tomorrow will be busy in the city.
That's because the Tall Ships will be coming to town!

We also salute the Canadian Navy, which turns 100 next year!

Dennis in My Town

Mom said that she saw "Dennis" in town one day.
I was surprised as Dennis does not live near here at all!!

Dennis lives in Nyack,New York
How could he be here?

Mom saw this building

See what it says!
Dennis may not be here ,
but Dennis the building is!

Guess who came back?
Yup,the Seajacks Kracken.
Guess they still need to do more sea trials.
It is a new vessel, built in Dubai.

I guess Seajacks wanted to keep Rowan Gorilla company

Photo Hunt- Nautical

Photo Hunters

The theme this week for the Photo Hunt is : NAUTICAL

Since we do not go out,Mom will do this post.

Our harbour makes the NAUTICAL theme easy.

This is Theodore Too

Here he is during the winter.

This is the ferry that travels across

Halifax harbour

Tugboats waiting for ships to guide into port.

I guess the "BluenoseII" is not home ;)

Dredging the harbour to

widen the shipping lane.

This became necessary when CFB Halifax Dockyard

erected a protective boom.

You can see some of the 'protective boom'.
