Birds and a Cat

Julie: Looking through the railings from the ramp.

This Blue Jay likes the sunflower seeds in the feeder.

He likes them a lot!!

Me, I like the sunshine!

It feels SO good on my black furs!!

It was Thanksgiving weekend in Canada.
Mum and I were at mum's sister's place and it was FUN!
I am happy to be home though, relaxing on my porch!

Friday Views with Julie

Julie: From the windows in my place, I often have
some pretty good views.
I can watch the Chickadees eating the sunflower
seeds in the feeder.

I also see Mourning Doves and Blue Jays
eating the seeds mum puts out .

I like my view of the deck at the back of the house,

but I like the front of the house best!

That is where the good grass is and  you know how
much I love grass!
It is also where the birdfeeders are as well.
I have great views from the kitchen window
and can see the feeders.
Best of all, I like that I can get out for some grass!!!

 Yes! Being outside is FUN!!!!
It is the weekend so you know that will be FUN!
as mum will be home!!!!
Happy Weekend!

Lazy Tuesday

Georgia: What a difference a day makes.
Monday was nice and sunny and today it is raining!
Good thing I am inside.

Julie: I miss the sun too as it really warms your furs.
Mum says we might see the sun this afternoon.
That would be nice as I don't like the rain!

Blue Jay: Hey there! The nice lady that lives here
always puts seen in here.
There is a nice mix too.

Sometimes I  take the seeds to this branch to eat them.
I see that black cat in the window  sometimes.
I am really happy that it stays indoors!

Happy Monday from Georgia and Julie!

Georgia: Happy Monday friends! How are you doing?
We are still hanging out and having fun with mum!
WE like that a lot too.

Julie: I must admit, I do agree with Georgia.
That does not happen all the time.

We have been enjoying Window TV.
These pretty finches were enjoying some seeds.
Usually the squirrels are there . They tend
to hog it a lot!

Mr Groundhog tends to visit  a lot. Here he is  on
a sunny day.

Here is is on an overcast day.
He seems to like our yard.

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: We had a pretty quiet but good weekend.
Mum went to a Christmas party Friday night .
Saturday she went to see her Grand-Niece who is 3 weeks old.
Then she spent Saturday night and Sunday with us.
I did some lounging on this soft blankie.

JJ was on the porch on Sunday. It was mostly sunny.
He enjoyed that a lot.

Naturally Julie was on the porch too.
She spent lots of time watching the wildlife.

There were birds and ducks eating seeds.

There was a bunch of ducks over near the driveway.
As you can see, a lot of our snow has melted.
Most of it will be washed away as it is
raining this Monday.
Tuesday may be cooler again with snow flurries.
The weather is still up and down.

So far, no big storms and we purr it stays that way !

Georgia Says that Snow is Cold,But Interesting

Georgia: Hmmmmmmmmmmm!
Whose feet are those?

Yup, they're mine.
As I am the only Tortie, that was not a hard question.

WE had quire a weekend.
Friday night, mum came home and it was snowing!
Big,fat flakes that were light and fluffy.
Mum calls that broom snow since she can moveit with a broom.
Then Saturday night, we had a bigger snowstorm!
It was windy and snowing and gave us a big bunch of snow.

Mum shovelled  path to the birdfeeders and filled them
and sprinkled some on the ground.
The ducks and pigeons liked them.

They do not seem to mind the cold.

The snow is also pretty.
Here is a mound of snow on a tree stump with
sunshine behind it.

Here are some squirrel footprints.

When there is a lot of snow, squirrels get around
by making tunnels.
This one comes out by the birdfeeders.
They know where the seeds are.

While mum was outside with the shovel,
Julie decided to have a nap.
When she woke up, the sun was out and mum was in.

Can you guess where she went?
Pop over to House Panthers and see!

Earl the Squirrel loves Seeds!

Georgia: Guess what? Mum is home today because it is a holiday!
Not only that, it is sunny today!
Its cold outside, but not as cold as Saturday and Sunday.
Tomorrow we get rain! How crazy is that?

On Friday, we showed you 2 bags of seed  we got for
the wildlife.
The bags said "wild bird seed"
Now we know the Trout Towne Tabbies do not like birds,
but they are not the only ones that eat them.
Earl the Squirrel loves them a lot!
Here he is running up this tree.

You can just see his head as he grabs another seed.

He is so fast running up the tree, Mum could hardly take the picture!

He sits on this stub of a branch and eats the seed,
then repeats the process.
We think it would be easier to stay on the ground.

Earl: Hey! Are you criticizing the way I eat my seeds?
I happen to like it up here instead of the cold snow.

Georgia: OK Earl, don't get anymore excited than you
already are. Eat those seeds  any way you please.

Want to see what Julie is doing today?
Sure you do!

Pop over and see her at House Panthers!

Guess who is having a birthday today?
Why not pop over and wish him a happy Birthday :)
