Julie: Hi friends! Guess what?

I had an adventure!

Mum and I went to spend a week with one of Mum's sisters.

She has 3 sisters. This sister lives in Kentville.

I was a bit nervous but we had our own room.

There were two other cats there, but we did not meet.

I did not mind that. While it was quiet for me, 

I enjoyed having mum nearby.

 While the week was good, I do enjoy being back in my own home.

Tuesday I get my stitches out. WooHoo!!

It will be cloudy too so maybe I can get some grass.

Today is rainy  with  rumbles!

Julie Snooze and Ducks

Julie: Mum puts out seed for the birds.We live close to a 

river that feeds into a lake. The ducks like the seed.

I was having a nice snooze and mum wanted a picture.

As you can see, I am doing well after my first treatment.

Ok, I'm going back to my snooze.

First Chemo Treatment

Julie: Well friends, I have had my first chemo treatment.

The Vet said I did really well.

After conferring with an oncology Vet, it was

decided to use a smaller bore needle.

That worked really well and the needle stayed in the vein.

I was glad to be back home though!

I was super hungry too!

It seems I now have toxic poo! MOL!

Mum needs to wear gloves to clean my box

and when handling things(like my dishes) that

I may have saliva .

Hey mum!! My bowl is empty!

 

Finally Friday!

Happy Friday friends!

Thursday we were doing plenty of this.

We had a BIG storm that had very strong wind

and ,in some areas,snow!

There were lots of flurries in the air, but nothing 

stayed on the ground.

At the Cape Breton end of our province, 

there was a lot of wind and snow and tree branches!

That caused problems with the electrical wires and the flow of

electricity into the main power grid.

As a result, there was a huge power outage !

In the metro Halifax area the outage was the largest

amount since Hurricane Juan in 2003.

We lost our power in the morning and got it back 

about 1PM. Other areas got power about 5 PM.

Some areas were still waiting late in the evening.

Once again, Mum was happy to be home.

She is still using up vacation time and will not go back

to work until Wednesday.

Needless to say, we are happy cats!!

We love having mum home.

That means FUN!!!!

Julie is Home and Doing Well

Julie: As you can see, I am home!

I feel great and have had  some supper and today I 

had a good breakfast.

While I am not crazy about being at the Vet, I must

say I got lots of lovin' and scritches from one of the Vet Techs.

She told mum I was a  sweet,lovable kitty.

It's true, I am !

This is an X-Ray of my bottom teeth.

The yellow arrows show the two teeth that were removed.

I am happy to be home and getting back to my routine

and my porch!
