The Ducks are Dining and Mum is home

Julie: After all the rain on Friday, the snow went away.

 It was nice to  sit in the window and enjoy the

sunshine. 

                                                       

The ducks came by for a snack on  sunflower seeds

mum put out.

Saturday night we had some snow and it got cold 

again. That did not stop the ducks from coming back.

They know where the good noms are!!

Mum and I are going to enjoy this extra day.

She will read after I get my brushings.

I like having mum at home.

Mum likes being home.

Hmmmmm.....

Long Weekend for Heritage Day

Julie: Hey mum, the weekend is starting and we have an 

extra day to have FUN!

Yup! An extra day as Monday is a holiday!

In our province, we call it Heritage Day and every year 

we honour a person(s) who made a  difference.

Monday Mum Day

Georgia: We are happy today because mum is home

with us. That's because today is Heritage Day

(or Family Day is other provinces).

All we know is she is spending the day home with us!

We had some snow overnight and this is what it looked like 

this morning.

Then the sun came out and the snow is melting.

Sunshine is purrfect for bathing.

I like sitting in the sun!

Julie loves sitting in the sun too.

Her black furs get very warm.

We are all enjoying the day together !

Tomorrow mum is back at work and the 

COLD comes back!

But,then we have rain on Thursday.

Crazy up and down weather makes us glad

to be indoor cats!

Finally Friday !

Georgia: We are happy because it's Friday!

Not only that, it is a long weekend too as we celebrate

Heritage Day.

Heritage Day is a day we honour  remarkable people,places 

and events that have contributed to this provinces unique heritage.

This year we honour Mona Louise Parsons

Finally Friday and Long Weekend!

Georgia: Hi friends. Well, it's Friday again and that

means the weekend and Mum time. This weekend

we have Mum for an extra day as Monday is a holiday.

We are celebrating Heritage Day.

This is gonna be fun!

 Julie: That's right Georgia. We also hope to get some

porch time. Mum says it will be cloudy 

Saturday and Sunday and we will get another 10cm of snow.

Monday should be sunny though.

If it's not too cold we should get on the porch.

JJ: While we like the porch, we are just happy to hang

out with Mum. She gives great scritches and 

belly rubs!

Treasure: I also like more Mum time.

I like to be near her too and get some attention.

She already had paths to the bird/squirrel feeder.

While we will get snow this weekend,

it is supposed to rain next week!

This Winter has been very strange.

Earl the Squirrel  will be happy for these!

In Canada,labeling is done in French and English.

Visiting birds like the other seeds.

Our Chickadees love the sunflower seeds too.
