Welcome Spring!!

Julie: We had some nice sunny days over the weekend.
The temperatures are getting better too.

While  it is sunny and warm in this window, it is
not hot outside. The temperature only got up to 5C(41F)
However the good news is that the snow is  pretty
much gone  and today is the first day
of Spring!! It is nice and warm on this windowsill
and I can feel the heat! I like that . We might have rain
later in the week but that is OK as it is not snow!
Even with snow, it will not last.

I must say I love sitting here. The sun feels so good
on my black furs!
Oh yes! I am SO ready for Spring and Summer!!

I think I may have a little snooze in the sun too.

Happy Spring to all!!

Georgia's Monday Musings

Georgia: Hi friends.I hope your weekend was good.
Ours was quiet and that was good for getting lots
of scritches from mum. I liked that.

Last Tuesday we had a snowy, rainy and very
windy night. It was a bit scary.
The wind broke this tree!

This is a cherry tree that was old and had never been trimmed.
The ground around here has a lot of bedrock,
so trees cannot put down deep roots.
With the super dry Summer, the trees are all stressed.
That makes them brittle and branches break easily.
This is the 3rd tree this Winter.

That is one reason we are so happy to say...

My younger sister Julie has a few thoughts too.

You can see her over at House Panthers.

Man-Squirrel Monday with Earl and Julie Ladycat

Julie: Well, the other cats are all having a nice snooze,
so I am doing the Monday post here and also
As you can see, it was sunny on Sunday.
Today, we are getting a mixed bag of weather.
There will be snow, ice pellets, rain and snow.
Guess I'll be joining the nappers.

Earl dropped by early Sunday morning to get the sunflower
seeds mum puts out.
He's lost his head over the seeds! MOL!

He chews through those seeds pretty fast!

Easier to access when you get in the stump.

Guess he's going to be busy for a while.

This is what our yard looked like Sunday.
I'll show you what it looks like today when mum
gets home from work,

Since it was sunny on Sunday, I had a blast on the porch!

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: I am enjoying a lazy Monday.
I like this soft blankie and since Mom is at work
this seems a good place to hang out.

My brother Treasure thinks it is a good idea too.

When Mom is working on our blog, JJ likes to
snoopervise. He is pretty good at that.

We thought we would show you our Spring progress.
This is Coltsfoot. It is one of the first things to bloom
after the snow melts.

This is a tiny flower. Mom planted it some years ago
and cannot remember what it is called.

As you can see, not all of our snow has melted.
This batch will take longer to melt as it  was
where Mom shovelled the snow from the driveway.

The long garden by the driveway also has snow .
This Yucca plant has emerged within the past week.
We will be having more rain this week, so more snow
will be melting. That is great as some kitties here
are looking forward to getting grass to eat.

Julie was having some fun on the porch.
Why not see what she was up to.

See Julie at House Panthers.
