Holiday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: Hi friends. The weekend is over but because

today is Victoria Day we have mum home with us.

I love extra mum days. She decided that it was time I had

a good brushing too.

 Just look at all the fur she got.I love brush sessions as it

 feels like a massage session.Mum, I want more!

JJ and I often snooze together.

He likes to lean on me as you can see here.

He is a great brother.

As you know, Julie loves windows.

Here she is sitting in the bathroom window. 

She has a friend with her too, Big Kitty.

Julie in her favourite spot, the kitchen window!

She gets sunshine and good views from here.

Sadly there will be no sunbathing today.

We are having rain and a chance of thundershowers!

Georgia: Well, another week has come and gone.

We are a bit excited this weekend as we have an extra mum day!

We are celebrating Victoria Day on Monday and 

mum will be home with us! WooHoo !

We always like extra mum days and so does she so she is

taking the day off work.

We will be looking forward to scritches,belly rubs and brushings.

We know that all that will be FUN!

We love extra mum days almost as we love sleeping.

As you can see, we all can get along...sometimes.

We make a good kitty pile.

So,mum, what are we doing today?

Well, it IS warm and sunny so you could go

out to the porch. I'll leave the door open for when 

you're ready.

Gee, thanks mum !

Flashback Friday with Julie

This post first appeared on July 31,2012.

Hi, Julie here, doing my very first post.

Mom dragged me to the Vet last night.I was not happy. 

 The first Vet I saw is on holiday, but I liked this Vet too.

She checked me all over and said I was doing very well.

I gained a whole pound and a smidge!!! Then she gave me 

two needles so I do not get Feline Leukemia.

She also gave me treats! Did I say she was nice?

She looked in my mouth and my eyes and decided that I was 

a young kitty, probably about 3 years old. She gave me 

a birthday month too. We all agreed on April 2009.

After all, what girl does not want to be younger,heehee.

The Vets will monitor my furs to see how they grow.

Some furs are growing back,mostly on my back.

We will watch it more for allergies  after I have my

spay operation in mid August. What I want to know is this,

what is a spay operation???

Hmmmm, I think I need more food. Hey Mom... !

In this post, Mum and the Vet decided on April as my birthday month.

Mum being totally forgetful forgot all about it.

We tend to celebrate our Gotcha Days.

However, our friends  Pipo and Dalton 

from Meezer's Mews & Terrieristical Woofs

did not forget!

They made this really pawsome card.

Thank you so much!! I love it!!

I am looking forward to doing more of this on the weekend.

It will be a great weekend because Mum has an

extra day with us!!

This is the Victoria Day weekend on Canada

Sunshine(part of the weekend anyway) and an extra mum day

adds up to a FUN weekend!

Long Weekend and Sunshine with Georgia and JJ

Georgia: It appears that the door to the porch is open.

I should go out as it is sunny.

The couch feels pretty comfy. Maybe a good place for a  nap.

Yup, this is a good place to relax.

JJ: I could not agree more Georgia..

This sun feels so good!

Oh warm sunbeams,come and warm my furs!

I really like being on the porch when it is warm.

It feels so nice.

We all know that Julie is the porch queen, but something is

keeping her inside.

Finally Friday !

Georgia: What a week! It rained on the weekend and all week until

Tuesday evening.Then we heard a few loud bangs of thunder

and the lights went out for a few minutes.

Wednesday was a bit better and the sun came out.

Thursday and today were HOT! Thursday was 30C(86F)

and the humidity made it feel warmer.

While we will have a sunny weekend, the temperatures

will be more to normal for this time of year. 15C (59F )

JJ: Yes Georgia, we do get a temperature spike in May 

and then the temps go back to normal until Summer begins.

We are just happy it stopped raining!

Julie: Yes indeed! I am happy the rain stopped and it got

warmer as I enjoy being on the porch. 

I have to keep an eye on the ducks,birds and Earl the Squirrel

and his friends and also the Groundhogs. I think there are two.

It is more fun to keep watch when I am on the porch.

I am looking forward to watching them all weekend

and spending an extra day with mum.

In Canada, we are celebrating Victoria day,and mum 

has taken it off. That means a 3 day weekend with mum!!

Can it get better than that?
I like hanging with mum  .

TGIF and a Long Weekend !

Georgia: Friends, it has been quite a week.

Mum hurt her back last Saturday and was in bed until 

midway through Monday!

We had to spend a lot of time nursing her back to 

feeling well. She took things easy for the next few days,

but did go to work but did not do any.

On top of that, she caught a cold and the coughing 

made her back hurt.

Well, that is all over and she is better!

She did not take pictures of us (yay) but she will this weekend

because Monday is a holiday.

It is Victoria Day!

All we care about is that she will be home with us!

We purr you all have a FUN weekend too!

Mom is Home for Victoria Day !

Georgia: Happy Monday friends. We are enjoying

another day with Mom. That means more porch time,

scritches and cuddles. WooHoo!

JJ is happy as he knows Mom will go out side and pick

some grass for him and Julie. They love eating grass!

Treasure is happy to kick back and relax on the porch sofa.

This weekend we saw a new critter, a groundhog!

We have not seen one in our yard before.

We are not sure where he lives, but Mom hopes

it is in the woods.

Julie is looking forward to lots of scritches from Mom.

She likes to follow Mom around and curl up in her lap

if she sits down to read.

Mom is home today because it is Victoria Day in Canada.

Finally Friday, Long Weekend!

Julie: Hello friends and happy Friday!

We are happy as it is a long weekend and we get

an extra Mom day.

Mom says it is Victoria Day on Monday.

JJ: We like the extra Mom day as we get more porch time

and it should be sunny and warm!

Except for Sunday, it will be rainy.

We can us that day for snuggles.

Treasure: I am happy anytime Mom is home.

I like Mom and like to be around her.

Georgia: I am happy for the long weekend too.

I am happy I feel so much better and can enjoy it!

My friend William was hoping to see a poodle cut where

the Vet shaved my legs to take a blood sample and to put

 in an IV line.Because of my Tortie furs, my legs are 

Tortie tattoo'd and it is not easy to see the shaved spots.

This is a close up pf my legs. The pink brackets show the

shaved bits. Not too much of a poodle leg.

As a girl, I am glad it is not too noticeable.

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: Here it is,Monday and Mom is home! I am happy about 

that ! I like that I can have more snuggles with Mom. 

She was away visiting with family on Saturday and then

went to see a movie on Sunday, but today is for us!

We are snuggling today because it is cloudy and the 

weather is NOT warm!! The Spring is very slow in coming.

It is also Victoria Day and that is why Mom is home.

Treasure and JJ were snuggling on a comfy chair.

That is a nice way to stay warm!

Tillie thought it was a nice idea, so she decided to join them!

When Mom sits down to read her book, we will snuggle up

with her. It will be fun!

Long Weekend Ahead!

Happy Friday friends!!!

Here in Canada, we are celebrating Victoria Day!

That means we will be spending more time with Mom!

She will be out and about some with her sister and

they will visit with  Grammie and other family members too.

We are looking forward to this weekend.

It should be pretty nice with sunshine  too!!

Guess what???? It's a long weekend!!!!!!

 In Canada, we are celebrating Victoria Day.

What that means, is Mom has Monday off!!

Extra Mom time!! We love it!!

Mom is also taking Friday  off.

We are going to make sure we get

totally spoiled. That's because we know

 Mom will not be at home all the time.

She will be visiting family too.

Gee, now that the weather is getting warmer,

we guess Mom will be going out a lot!!

Well, as long as we get spoiled,

 that might be OK,heehee

Mom thinks Spring has finally arrived.

The cherry tree has some blooms showing!!!!

took it through the kitchen window.
