Christmas is getting closer!

Julie: I am trying really hard to  imitate the light block.
It is a contrast between light (the block) and dark (me)

With all the presents mum has wrapped, they are
taking up space on my table!
I hope mum leaves room for me so I can
still get my brushings!

Our little tree with some presents.
We don't put up a big tree as we do not spend
Christmas here.
Oh noes! I bet that means travel for me!

Gee, in the dark, the light from the tree shines through
the little pewter fireplace.

Once again we are getting snow.
It is gently falling and the flakes are big.
There is a saying here "big snow
 little snow"
That means that when the flakes are large, the snowfall
amount is not very large.
Mum calls this broom snow as she can sweep it
away with a broom.
Small flakes usually mean deep snow.
We will have temps above 0C this week
before it cools off by Christmas Eve.
There may be snowflurries on Christmas Day.
Mum and I will already be where we need to be
for Christmas.
Dang, I think that means road trip!

The Last Friday Before Christmas Friday!

Julie: I am happy.
I'm, always happy when mum comes home from work.

I follow mum around as she changes into comfy(PJ's) clothes.
As you can see, I'm always ready for any potential belly rubs.
I get them too !

I don't always want to pose. I want more belly rubs!
Oh well, at least she's home and I will have her
for the weekend!

Last night, mum had to come home is a snowstorm.
It was not too windy, just snowing.
There will be gusty winds overnight with more snow.
The prediction is between 15-30cm(6-12 inches)
overnight. This is what mum found when she came
home last night.
By morning, the storm will be pretty much over.
The forecast is for temps to rise through the weekend
and then rain and 10C(50F) on Monday!
Such is life in Nova Scotia!

Yup! I am very happy to be an indoor cat!
The weather is always purrfect.
While mum hopes she does not have to shovel too
much, I never have to worry about that.
I wonder if I should try stepping in that white stuff
after the storm. Mum says my paws will get cold!
What do you think?
Would it be FUN?

One week until Christmas!! WooHoo!!!
Now that will be FUN!

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: We had a pretty nice weekend.
We got lots of scritches, cuddles and even some treats!
I am in the computer room where I dictate the blog post.
It's great as I get a lot of scritches too.

Julie was spending time looking out on the deck.
The squirrels like to run across it and Julie would
love to chase them!
Good thing the glass is there or mum would
have to chase Julie! MOL!

Here is another area of our place decorated.
We like the calendar with the Christmas kitty.

Hard to believe Christmas will be here next week!

Finally Friday!

Georgia: Whew! What a week!
I was ever so happy to be an indoor kitty.
We had sun, rain and snow and it's only Friday!
Today is sunny and cold and tomorrow, it will be raining
again!
Mum is also happy it's Friday and the weekend is here.

We finally have some decorations to show.
This is our living room window that looks out onto
the porch.

This tiny tree is at the far end of the living room.
We will get mum to take more pictures in daylight
this weekend. That is if Julie will let mum
stop rubbing her(Julie) belly.
That sister of mine is obsessed!

Since the full "Cold Moon" falls on
Friday the 13, here is a picture of a black cat!

Yes it's Julie, but she is black.
But she is not bad luck.

Have a FUN weekend friends!!!

Finally Friday !

Georgia: Wow, another week has gone by!
It was a pretty quiet week  as far as weather .
Last Thursday we had a snowstorm that delayed mum from
getting home until 8:30PM !
Friday was super cold, then it warmed up some
and we had light rain this week and there is no snow.
Mum says we might see flurries this weekend,
then rain next week.
Makes me happy to be an indoor cat!

Julie: I am happy to be an indoor cat too.
I was out in the wild for a while before mum
and her sister rescued me. I am very happy to be
indoors now.
Mum is going to a girls Christmas party Friday night
then she will be home with us.
Maybe we can have a girls party at home with mum.

What are you doing this weekend?
Hope it will be FUN!

Finally Friday at Mickey's Musings

Georgia: The weekend is here!
Mum will be around a unch.
She will be away most of Sunday as it is time for her annual
Christmas Tea and Tour.
That means mum will be hanging out with her sister and
visiting some houses decorated for Christmas.

JJ: That's right Georgia.  There is a luncheon served.
Little sandwiches and sweets and then houses to visit.
Our Auntie's church has been doing this for
over 20 years.
Mum and Auntie have been going for a lot of years too.

Julie: For the past number of years, they have been helping
out with the tea and lunch and then going visiting.
We do not go, but we wish there were tasty treats for us kitties.
Maybe we can convince mum to bring home
some ham and chicken sandwiches for us.
We are sure they would be tasty .

What are your weekend plane?
We purr that a lot of FUN is involved!!

PeeEss: If you click on the "tea and tour" in the  labels
below, it will show pictures of some previous tea and tours.

Come on Mom,Time is Running Out!

Georgia: Every time mom sticks that flashy box
in our faces for pictures,

we have to remind her that

time is running out

to do up and e-mail our Christmas cards!!!

Mom is very disorganized this year!
We purr your purrson is better.
Either way, have a fun weekend !
