Birthday and Snow(ish)

Julie: On Wednesday, mum had a birthday.
She went out to lunch with her sisters.
Mum has 3 sisters. She had FUN and for dessert
she had cake!

Yesterday. we got some snow.
It was very light as it was mixed with freezing rain.
Mum said it was crunchy when she went out to fill
the birdfeeders.

The ducks really like the seeds mum puts on the
ground.
These are the boys. The girls came later.

I enjoyed a nice nap in my cozy while mum was
doing things around the house.
This is also a nice place for snoozing.
I like snoozing too. MOL!

If we are lucky we might see some sun on Sunday.
It will still be cool outside but I will be
cozy indoors!
Purrs you all have a great weekend!!

Lazy Monday with Georgia and JJ

Georgia: Well, it feels like Winter. It is pretty cool.
I am happy the furnace is on as I love to snooze on the
warm vents that blow warm air.
I just wish mum kept the heat turned up when she goes
off to work.

JJ: Yes Georgia I agree. However, the blankies are nice
and cozy too. I can still enjoy a comfy sleep.

Yesterday, mum took this picture of the morning sun.
You can see a bit of snow.
Today, we are getting more snow!
Mum says it will be about 10-15 cm!
WE are glad to be indoor cats!

Julie had some thoughts about the cold weather.

Georgia- Comfy Snoozy Spot and Pretty Feathers

Georgia: I am relaxing on this chair. The porch is a bit cool
and it is not very sunny. We had some rain and snow on the
weekend , but not too much. We should see more sun
early this week.

Since it is cold on the porch, a nice comfy bed is a good place
to have a nice snooze.

Treasure and JJ are joining me because they like to snooze
and be warm too.

Yes, this is the place to be when it is cold outside and on the porch.

The cold and snow do not seem to bother these ducks.

Mom was quite taken by the lovely patterns in the
feathers of these ducks.

What did Julie do this weekend?
Well, let's say it involves dirt!

Go and see her at House Panthers !

An Extra Mom Day with Georgia

Georgia:  We had a really mixed up weekend.
It was sunny on Saturday,  a snowstorm on Sunday
and a cold Monday. The good thing is that we have
Mom home today for Heritage Day.
She is also here for scritches  and spoiling we kitties.

OK Mom, just because you have the day off does not
mean you can bother me with that camera!

Yesterday , we has snow, blowing snow, rain and a flash freeze.
Mom did manage to get out and feed the birds.
These ducks were very happy.

Snowstorms mean lots of snow.
There was a big pile at the end of the driveway.
Mom moved a lot, then a neighbour came along on his ATV
and pushes some snow away. His spinning tires helped break up
a lot of the chunks created by a plow .

Mom took her time and got it all cleared.
The only problem is that the temperatures went down,
so the driveway is now pretty icy.
The city is too as all the rain we had did not have
anyplace to go. There was a lot of flooding in town!
Fortunately, we do not have flooding, just freezing.

What do you suppose Julie is thinking?

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: I'm sitting on the arm of the chair waiting
for Mom.

She is going to take that Zoom Groom and brush me.
I LOVE getting brushed!

Yesterday was sunny but cold.
The porch was warm though and JJ
enjoyed spending time there.

Treasure is just hanging around seeing what Mom is doing.

What do you think Julie did this weekend?

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: Hi friends. I am trying to decide what to do.

It is fun when Mom is home,  not so much when she is
at work.

I like to sit on the arm of the chairs. When Mom is sitting
there  she gives me lots of scritches. I love that!

I'm ready for those scritches! Anyone want to give me some ?

Saturday we had some sunshine and JJ was soaking
up the rays in the kitchen.

Every once in a while, he would look outside to see what was
going on.

Treasure is enjoying a good snooze.
He looks quite cozy.
We all may join him for a snooze until Mom comes home.
Unless Squirrel TV is good today !

Pop over to House Panthers
and see Julie.
She is just hanging around too.

Mancat Monday- Introoder Alert!!

Welcome to Mancat Monday!!
I do not know what it is like where you
live, but here in Nova Scotia it is COLD!!
We are having a cold spell.
It should end by mid-week.
At least Mom hopes it does.
She has to go out in it, we don't!! heehee
Today the temperature will be -14 C (6.8 F)
The wind chill will make it feel like -26C  (-14.8F)!!

Some of you will remember seeing this kitty.
He looks in the window at Team Tabby's house.

Mom fed him while she was there.

He sometimes waited in the tree for her
to look out the window, then he would
come up on the deck.

He looked in the window and meowed.
He came in all kinds of weather and at night!
Last Wednesday we had snow, then rain and he still came!!!
Friday it got cold and even colder on the weekend!
Mom worried about him being outside. If he has a home,
he is hardly ever there!
As Mom was coming back to see us,she worried about the kitty.

Guess where he ended up?????
Yup! On our porch.
That means we cannot go out on the porch.
Mom will check again to see if she can find
if he has a home.He is very friendly.
For now,he is safe and out from the elements!

Go see what Tillie is doing at House Panthers.

Mancat Monday

All last week it was COLD!!!!!!!!!!
However, we had lots of sunshine and the porch was warm.
I did not get on the porch much, because Mom was at work.

This week, it will be warmer.
However, we will not see the sun all week!
It will be overcast and probably damp,
so this is where I intend to spend most of my time.
You can see my heaty pad on the blankie behind me.
Yup, this is how I keep warm!!

Must be for me. Mmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!

What a Difference a Day Makes

Mickey: Things look quite different around here today.
On Thursday, I was sitting on the porch and soaking up the sunshine.
It was pretty cozy too.

Tillie: That's right Mickey. We had a storm on Friday.
It snowed a little, then big winds blew all day!!!
Mom said it was very, very cold.

Look at our driveway now!!

Here is our front yard.
Mom took the pics this morning indoors!
It may be sunny, but it's still cold outside.
This morning it is -12C (10.4F)
The wind chill is -22C (-7.6F) !!!

Georgia: I am looking out this window at all the frosty trees.
They look quite pretty.

This is a little 'ice forest'.

Looking across the river.
Can you see the house on the other side?

The tree has snow on one side .
That way,you can tell which way the wind was blowing.

Now, the sky is clearing and it will be a bright sunny day.
It will also be a cold day, so we are happy to be indoors!!!!!
